WAYDT?
Finishing off a bottle a bottle of Balvenie 14 year Caribbean Cask.
It was given to me as a tip for working bartending a local liqueur store's Christmas party.

Good choice man

Not my first choice desu, was planning on picking up a bottle of Redbreast 12yo on my way home from work but I didn't get a chance. This is all I have in the house right now other than some cheap cooking brandy.

I've been meaning to try RB12 for a while. It tops a lot of lists

You should, it's a gorgeous whiskey. Very fruity, but like rich red autumn fruits. I used to have a bottle of the 21yo put aside for special occasions but I finished it over christmas. You should definitely give that one a go If you have a chance, probably the best Irish I've had without breaking into the high end Midletons.
im drinking water because i have no alcohol

Whenever I express an interest in developing more if a taste for bourbon, someone recommends this something from Van Winkle (usually Pappy Van Winkle, which I realise is not easy to find) but they're all hard to get a hold of over here. Is it actually worth going out of my way for?

Eh, kind of? I mean, I wouldn't recommend you going out of your way and dropping the cash for it. However, if you see a 15 yr. or a 20 yr. for sale (at a reasonable price), buy it. Those two are damn good, though you're not missing tooo much.
If you like Ryes, check into seeing if you can get High West's A Midwinter's Night Dram. That stuff....umf. So good.
Just finished this. It was as good as I had heard. Nothing terribly complex but it does coffee and chocolate flavors really well. Gonna finish my four pack throughout the week with gusto.

Chug a bottle, it'll be fun!
This is a good stout too. Oh the cheaper end too, if you want something good on the cheap. It was $4 when I got it last week. I might pick up that $16 sampler thing since it comes with three 22s and a pint glass.

Maybe the last one, chugging beer brings back bad memories from college. :^(
>>23213603
For $16, that sounds like a hell of a deal!
Ha, trust me, I've done some nasty chugs in the past. Chugged an Upland Raspberry one night and then chugged an Upland Kiwi the next day. Both reminded me what it felt like to puke. hahaha
