Do I actually look different in these pictures, though? I think the only difference is that I put product in my hair now instead of letting it down. I even wear the same shirt I have in those original pictures.

Completely different hairstyle. Better camera to take a much better quality picture with. Better lighting. Better complexion. Less Facial hair.
Whether you've actually physically matured or not is irrelevant. Your new photos gives you a whole new look now than it did in those old pictures. (A good look though, keep it up m8).
Trust me when I say, the guy in pics 1 and 2 gives me a much much different vibe than the guy in pics 3-5.
