Actually there is PLENTY of therapy involved with being Trans, Hormonal Therapy for one. There is also Adjustment Therapy you can get.
OH and the surgery is optional. There are plenty Transgender that do not want the surgery. I've had a few trans friends that could afford but didn't want it.
