androgynous looking guys are usually handsome as fuck or models so they look good regardless of their hair lenght.
Most guys however are not androgynous looking and should even out their feminine characteristics (long hair) with some masculine traits (buff/shredded body or strong face features such as a broad chin, jaw line, full beard) otherwise you'll just look like a beta basement dweller who is socially awkward.
I know it doesn't help without the whole face/body, but I might as well post. No clue what to do with the hair. I recently cut it from ponytail-length to no-longer-needing-a-hairband-but-i'll-be-finger-combing-all-day length hair. I'm a little chubby, need to lose weight, but otherwise have a decent (i think) jaw and shoulders. The light doesn't display this well, but it's usually a mid/light brown.
