So-so bar scene? I get the weather, but have you been to any of the bars in Portland? I'm in Boise right now on work travel and their whole downtown bar scene is fucking trash compared to any one food row (Mississippi, Alberta, Belmont, Hawthrone, NW 23rd, etc) in Portland.
It just gets old... I travel for work so eating at restaurants every day has left me burned out and trying new ideas in new places. Maybe I just need to find someone with a different /fresh perspective.I didn't have much time in Boise last time I was there but it was definitely lacking Portlands variety.

To me, Portland is a food adventure town. There's sooooo many different flavors and varieties. Between the enormous selection of microbrews and food carts and people who genuinely care about the culinary details, there's always something good to try. It also helps when you go with someone else to enjoy it.

People are so dumb as pedestrians in Portland metro. When I here in the news of pedestrians killed in crosswalks, I don't think of bad drives. I think of stupid pedestrians.
