It's not so much about the age difference as it is about attitude. Most women with great attitudes towards life around my age are married. I really don't care about the age difference I just won't rule someone out immediately because they are significantly younger.

There's a silver lining. A lot of women struggle to even have kids, and even when they do, they're unhealthy or suffer from issues resulting from pregnancy in older age (autism for example).
So it's not all bad.

There is truth to have both parents around all the time. It certainly affected me when I was younger being raised by my mom and around my aunts and grandmother all the time. I tended to be more effeminate in my mannerisms and got teased a lot because of it. I eventually grew out of it but I do tend to prefer female friends over male friends as a general rule.
