I'm guessing you've already tried dating websites and specific places to find a boyfriend.
So, get to know your 'friends of friends' better. Expanding your social circles increase your chances of meeting someone interesting. And even if you don't, you'll inevitably get "oh you like men? So does X, you should hang out", particularly if you make it known (SUBTLY) you want to find someone. 9/10 it'll be awful, but that 1/10 is magical.
Similarly, take a hobby or something you enjoy and find others who like that. You mentioned gaming, so are there any local lan parties? Gaming cons? You want to expand your circle, because you increase your chances of running into someone interesting. But you also gain some cool new friends too and, if you do find someone, you'll likely already have a shared interest.
