I got taught the US pronunciation through popular media at first, so my "water" would be "wadder". But my spoken English has really developed by talking to people from the UK. And even then, some people say "wa-er" where in the south they'd say "watter" with a ridiculously emphasized "T".
This is why I sometimes say either "wadder" or "watter", though never "wa-er". I've yet to make my mind up on a lot of things. ^^

In some middle schools you have to learn arabic (like in mine) and in high schools it's usually a choice.
from experience I can tell learning Arabic is a lot easier if you start off a similar language like Hebrew. Though I do know of differences in the grammatical structure a huge amount of word roots is the same.
