Well I thought I wanted to be an actor for a while, then I got targeted to make an example out of by my acting teachers which I didn't find out was what happened until recently when one of them told me, them cutting me from shows and dodging my counseling appointments. Students kind of picked up on it and assumed I was a dick since the teachers thought so. The only professor that would talk to me and recommend reading or get excited during class was my philosophy professor, really got me into it and at a time when I was really disenchanted with what I had seen of the education system. It made me quit some harder drugs just to get a clearer head to stay on his level. I realized how much that career has that kind of power to inspire when so many people in it are just hamfistedly pushing ideologies or trying to seem too cool to be in their own classroom. I think if I could just like pay it forward and do what that teacher did for me, I'd feel pretty fulfilled I guess.

You can get quick with enough practice using it. The Ultranova has a terrible interface, but I don't have trouble making sounds on it reasonably quickly now. The worst part is setting envelopes - the amount is in one sub-menu and the ADSR is in another. Fuck.
