Bundle in the winter, bring an umbrella. Snow isn't a huge issue in the PNW usually, but it can and will be very wet.
Summers are usually very pleasant if too brief.

It doesn't get that cold in Tacoma. I moved here from the south too. There isn't really much a winter here, so much as a rainy season.Don't expect to see the sun very often from October to March. Temperatures rarely dip below freezing. Sweaters and light jackets usually suffice. Summers are pretty temperate, but rather humid. 85F feels like 95F here.

Looking for a buddy or two to hit up the circuit bouldering gym on burnside a few nights a week (anytime between like 6 and 10 works for me) with, just as bouldering pals.
