The actual meaning is popular science, which means it's science that is dumbed down to a level that everyone can understand and relate to. Which means it dumbs down or simply ignores the really brainy stuff that requires one to understand the details, numbers, formulas, hypothesis and so on..
I wouldn't call that pop-sci since I doubt majority of pop-sci fags would dare to hold that book.

I now absolutely nothing about physics but I'll give it a shot. Please tell me how stupid and wrong I am.
Stored energy is an measurement of potential, as in how many different things it can randomly do in the next second. As you take energy away from an atom it has less potential or less "things it can do." Eventually if you remove enough energy from an object the atoms are so limited in what options can perform that some of them start randomly doing the same thing and sync up.
Does anyone know a nice space that this is homeomorphic to? Its just R^2 take away the lines x=0,y=0 and x=y, with the subspace topology of the standard topology.

So if the most likely reason that black people have dark skin, less sensitive eyes( dark brown) and often wider nostrils is because of adaptation the heat in the areas they lived( wider nostrils means more air can enter) and people with white skin son't for the opposite reason. Why is it East and south east Asians who live in their respective climates and geographic areas have evolved, on top of different skin pigmentation, slanted/almond eyes? What purposes could that feature serve to adaption. I always wondered this.

Well yes so, there is no advantage to having such eyes in any environment then? Their common ancestors just happened to mate with other primates that looked like that(for some reason)? Also, why do most East Asian have dark eyes when they're ancestors lived in cold climates mostly(reflecting their lighter pigmentation). Could this be the fact they they share common ancestors with Persians and other Middle Eastern peoples?

Smaller "slanted" eyes mean you are less sensitive to sunlight glaring off fresh snow. Look at inuits, they have extremely small eyes reflecting this type of environmental adaptation.
The east Asian race as we know it would be descended from peoples who lived further north near Siberia before migrating southward.

Khan has a million videos and even played at 2x speed, it still takes weeks of continual effort.
What other resources do people use? Something that covers everything up to calculus/linear algebra/probability
khan academy is the golden standard, bro.
PatrickJMT is another option but he is 100x more unorganized than Khan and his videos are oftentimes just as long or longer.

Why everyone on this board get so mad when he hear about evolutionary psychology? Humans evolved, body and mind, from earlier primates. The ways in which humans think reflect this heritage as surely as the ways in which their limbs are articulated, their immune systems attack viruses and the cones in their eyes process coloured light.
It makes traditional psychologists angry that biology is "invading their field", and they fear that biology, chemistry and physics is reducing their precious theories into cinders.
In my country the research group that studies evolutionary psychology has been terrorized by extreme leftists and creationists. They wreck the researchers' cars, threaten their families with violence, leave "warnings" etc. It doesn't fit their world view that our behavior is partly determined by our past, and that we are greedy, selfish and manipulative by our nature.
