If I wanted to manufacture a gas piston-like device for a rifle meant to receive a small volume of high temperature, high pressure gas (peak of ~20000PSI for around 6 milliseconds) while resisting rust, ablative wear, heat cycling, and standard abrasive friction wear, what kind of stainless would I need?
Keep in mind, being easy to machine would be a bonus. I was thinking 440F (free machining 440 stainless), but data sheet indicates...

Well, chemistry is applied physics, so if you know physics and math you should be able to figure out chemistry. From there you can derive biochemistry, and then biology.
Sorry OP, you won't get around reading that introductory textbook. There are more and less extensive ones, just one get one for college minors.

I would be taking 022 and 026 together during the same semester.
021, I don't need to take as I test out of it by a mile, but is the prerequisite for 041.
Am I cucking myself by taking the one 041 class or should I take 022/026 together to have a solid review? 041 would only be 4 credits while 022/026 would be 6 credits.

Why does the second law of thermodynamics not apply to the universe as a whole?
I mean, under the big bang theory, it goes from extremely small, compact, homogenized, and featureless to, well, this; all sorts of orders, classifications, distinct types of matter, irregular forms, separate structures. That seems like a patent DECREASE of entropy.

It kinda depends. A lot of mediocre engineers just plug numbers into stock equations and use the results without even thinking about them and it works for them, career-wise. That being said, if you have a "feel" for the math, you can be a lot more productive and successful as an engineer.

Have to choose my degree, I have 2 options
