I just need some help, I want to know what each of the skeletal chemical structures of the 4 basic elements of life look like. (oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen) I'm designing a tattoo for myself and would like to include those. I don't know if there is a certain structure to them or if they can be made in different ways, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance.

first thing is to google that shit
second, molview.org
>>8171579
Tried google, couldn't tell if what I was finding was actually right. I'm getting these tattooed on me for life. Not gunna solely trust google, thanks.

Also, I have no idea how to use molview
I have a hypothetical physics problem for you /Sci/. Been mulling it over for reasons and want to confirm or debunk my conclusion.
Assume a stable Ringworld with a radius of 1 AU situated around a star, rotating at a speed sufficient to create 1g of acceleration on its inner surface. Now, assume that the Ringworld is instantly and cleanly severed at one point along its circumference.
What is the outcome? What would you see and feel if you were standing on its surface? Could civilization survive for dozens of years on the far side of the ring while the effect travels along the vast circumference of the structure?
>>8171511
>> assume a stable ringworld
THE RINGWORLD IS UNSTABLE!
That's a bad science fiction author, try Greg Egan.
>>8171511
>What is the outcome?
The Ring would probably tear itself to pieces.
>What would you see and feel if you were standing on its surface?
Probably be able to see the breakage from much of the ring. There would probably be hurricane force winds towards the part that ruptured.
> Could civilization survive for dozens of years on the far side of the ring while the effect travels along the vast circumference of the structure?
Not...

Everytime I talk to people I always end up giving my opinion on something and calificate subtly theirs as inferior. I end up explaining (if I can) how my POV works. Even though they started talking to me about their problems and lives.
It seems to be a problem.
How do I improve my personality scientifically?
Do you guys have a method?
Implying psychology is a science, of course.

Is there a psychological concept of my problem?
So I can start to look from that point.

Implying Meyers-Briggs personality theory isn't the equal of Abel's proof that there exist no general algebraic solutions to polynomials of degree 5 or higher.

So im trying to run a jar file on a new raspberry pi (with little experience) and i entered the following:
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ java -jar /home/pi/Documents/Java Projects/test.jar
Error: Unable to access jarfile /home/pi/Documents/Java
Its obvious the problem is the space in the folder's name. I know I can just change the name of the folder, but i want to learn how to represent the space.
Also general raspberry pi thread...
now do you understand why you dont put spaces in filenames????
ok, now:
java -jar /home/pi/Documents/Java Projects/test.jar
and now:

Is it a possible that efficient, controllable fusion for the purposes of power on a small scale (less than anything around the size of a star) is simply not a scientific possibility? Or is there evidence that it can be done but we just can't find the means?
We should skip the fusion meme and start pursuing antimatter IMO.
>>8169586
Antimatter isn't a "real" fuel source; it's more like a battery. Only negligible amounts occur in nature, enough to actually do anything with would have to be produced artificially, which consumes more power than you'd get out of the antimatter.
Why not pursue miniature fission? Could a couple milligram size ball of Pu-239 perhaps be compressed enough to go critical with lasers?
Boom. The future is miniaturized internal nuclear detonation engines.
Serious Question, Why hasn't a dick enlargement pill been invented? You would think with how much interest there is in the subject and how much money the creator would make that there would be a lot of money being pumped into it.

How did you guys teach yourself LaTeX?
>>8168693
essentially, yes
just doing it a lot
>>8168693
you don't learn latex. you just start typing stuff and google what you need to know.

This. Like all software. Though I would say that this IS learning, it's just different than other types of learning.
Hello /sci/! I am working on a research paper regarding creativity an artists compared to scientists for uni. Would anyone care to answer these questions? Much obliged for your insight! :)
Who in your life has inspired you & why?
What advice would you give others to become more creative?
How important is education to creativity?
How do you deal with creative blocks?
When did you first become creative?
Do you have a specific creative process you need to go through? How did you develop that process?

Nobody,I have obsessive personality traits that moved my interest form one field to the next only to end up in a specific one.
>What advice would you give others to become more creative?
Have your bills paid and have people around that that really love you.
I cant stress this enough.

Who in your life has inspired you & why?
>Dj Qbert - hes a strong believer that creativity is something everyone can tap into.
What advice would you give others to become more creative?
>Dont be closed minded and quick to judge.
How important is education to creativity?
>Very, the amount of ideas i produce closely correlate with mathematics, The more i practice the easier it is for me to come up with a new concept.
How do you deal with creative blocks?
>Ill take a break and do something unrelated. The break in repetition helps.
When did you first become creative?
>My mother is an artist, so ive always have been comfortable being creative.
Do you have a specific creative process you need to go through? How did you develop that process?
>I write graffiti, so usually the rush gets me going, but i believe the adrenaline helps. Theres something about the freedom of a big surface that im attracted to and continue despite consequences.

You depress me by how you don't see the beauty in the knowledge we've accrued, that is readily available to you to learn and eventually contribute to, and how that would be motivation enough to make it worth putting the majority of your time and effort towards, yet you do not.

Yes, this is simply win. I too do not understand why people do not wish to understand how the world around them functions.
>>8165736
>I too do not understand why people do not wish to understand how the world around them functions.
I'm a mathematician and I really don't care about how the world functions from a physics or chemistry perspective. I care more about politics or economics than "understanding the universe" and I don't care too much about economics or politics.
Pic sort of related though.

So today marks my first day staying up for 24 hours straight, I plan on staying up for 12 days straight and beating the world record by one day. I'm guessing this would be the right place to post this since it is a scientific experiment.
I forgot to add that today I feel pretty good saying I drank 5 cups a coffee going on 6
Youre probably going to die if you do that tbqh.
Enjoy seeing your name in a Guinness Book of World Records foor note though lol

>The second generation engines will be capable of producing a specific thrust of 30kN/kW. Thus for 1 kilowatt (typical of the power in a microwave oven) a static thrust of 3 tonnes can be obtained, which is enough to support a large car. This is clearly adequate for terrestrial transport applications.
