If the LHC fails to produce results of the higgs boson, why does that mean a possible dead end to physics?
The higgs boson is predicted from our currently strongest model for fundamental particles. If we can't find the higgs, we'd need another model.

James Burke's "Connections". Old but absolutely rocks. Every single person in STEM should watch it and reflect on the first and last episodes. It's all over YouTube. There's a second and third series but they're not nearly as interesting as the first.
Goodstein's "The Mechanical Universe". It's a basic undergraduate physics course with animated illustrations of the concepts. The CG is basic but was cutting edge for its time. Not on Youtube but you can find it...

magnitude of cross product = |r| x |F| x cos(θ)
Where r is the vector from the hinge to the application of force.
Isnt θ here pi, making cos(θ) = 0 and thus making the magnitude zero?

So i've got 2 springs
I need the 2nd spring to close quicker before the first spring, they have different poundages, but similar short distances.
1st spring is 3 mm distance to pullback with the poundage comparable to a pen spring
2nd spring is about the same distance to pullback 5mm with a poundage of about 3-4lbs
Again I need the second spring to close quicker
The question is, is the increased poundage of the second spring alone going to be enough speed from power to close faster as intended in the small distance
