Hey sci, listen I need someone to help me solve this shit, I'm struggling with picrealated concept and this specific exercise is killing me, how do I calculate the resulting Net force?
problem says " the car Z pulls the mass m=900 kg on a 45° plane. acceleration is constant and 1.2 m/s^2 calculate the force in the cord S (answer is 4952 N)
so I know that with taht config the net force of the block is 2S but during the free body diagram I fail to see how shit piles up. I have exam soon, help a broda

I am a third year mathematics student whos always neglected physics. Frankly speaking, past the material my differential equations lecturer tried to force down our throats I dont know jackshit about physics. Is there a book (that includes exercises) that can teach me what I need to know in order to start looking into doing a physics minor?

I would actually skip this and look to pick up something more mathematically sophisticated, something more at your level. you might give classical mechanics by taylor a try, or maybe kleppner and kolenkow. Alternatively, if you have a solid knowledge of ODE, linear algebra, and know a little group theory, you might just start off with Arnold's "mathematical methods of classical mechanics" which provides a full overview of the subject from a rigorous perspective grounded in differential, and more...

I took a real analysis based ODE class and I am pretty comfortable with group theory. Should be alright. My only concern is that I would like a broad basis so I can pick and choose courses at my uni rather than learn about a specific subject now, would this book be suited for this?

Will snorting a small line of speed help me focus? I have so far never experimented with amphetamines, other than recreationally, and Ritalin or Adderall are too expensive to just try them out without a prescription.
Its fairly clean stuff as far as I can tell and I have noticed increased concentration when using it in certain settings reaching as far as tunnel vision.
Normally I have a hard time keeping my focus up, like right now, when I should be learning but instead am writing this post.
Anyone have experience with amphetamines that arent specifically designed...

The inability to focus for more than ten minutes is as far as I know a symptom of ADHD, so even if I dont have that specific disease (which I dont think I have), I should be able to treat the same symptoms with the same substance, right?

Sometimes in movies, you see this "sterilization chamber" where a guy walks in, gets sprayed by something, and walks out apparently without contaminants anymore.
I don't know very much about biology and such, but is this real? If so, what is actually being sprayed on the individual? Is it steam? Rubbing alcohol? Some sort of cleaning solution?
