I'm assuming that the answers to the first question will be something like "our representation of our innate understanding of spacetime." So, it seems to me like there is probably some pretty important shit we're missing. For instance, we assume that quantity exists-- but why? I believe the Entropy law basically indicates that life is a meme. Suicide is always justified because the specific, complex set of ordered conditions which make one's life equitable a) should not realistically be expected and b) are highly ephemeral. Hence I think it can be said that suicide is ultimately a sensible reduction of negative utility, while abbreviating one's lifespan only to a negligable degree. Therefore suicide is sensible whenever the subjective conditions are not met for the individual, whatever they may be.
My question is, have I grossly misinterpreted the second law of thermodynamics?

I was recently diagnosed (1 year ago exactly) with Ulcerative Colitis.
I've started to wonder how far we've come in terms of finding an ultimate cure (that doesn't involve a surgery) or atleast some medicine that doesn't cause cancer or cause the patient to gain an extreme amount of weight (prednisolon).
So if any of you have any links to pages that report the progress about this specific disease, it would help me a great deal :)

What kind of math is idea for financial modeling/finding patterns in noise? For example, if one were to wish to replace random noise within a Black–Scholes model with more functionally accurate functions, what is the ideal undergraduate mathematical and statistical background? I'm currently considering topology, differential geometry, group theory, graph theory, probability theory, and stochastic processes.
I'd start by working on my understanding of what random noise is in the financial markets.
