Buy some eliquid with nicotine, and some eliquid without
Slowly reduce your nicotine intake by mixing less and less nicotine into your tank
Did this and was able to quit with barely any withdrawal symptoms

i got a $29.99 kanger subvod starter kit thing, and found a buy one get one deal on 120ml e-liquid bottles, so i got 240ml of liquid for another $24 or so. i spent about $14 buying 7 replacement coil things too so I guess I totalled at about $68.
that was back at the beginning of February, i havent done the math in a while but I used to smoke a pack a day at about $5 a pack where I live so its around $550 saved so far, and I still have 3/4th of the liquid i bought.

I used the gum to quit 4 years ago
if you use gum it's important to use it correctly though, a lot of people chew it like normal chewing gum and it just makes them nauseous, that's the wrong way to do it.. what to have to do is chew it VERY slowly, keep it tucked in the side of your mouth against your gums most of the time and only chew it once every couple minutes or so.. this makes the nicotine release slowly and get absorbed in your mouth. the trick is to stick to the gum, use it correctly and don't start smoking WHILE using the gum or patches (this will fuck you up and make it nearly impossible to quit using them)
