I sleep every night because it is trendy, but I don't actually rest. Resting is sincerity and honesty, it's a thing that grounds us to the core of being human and refreshes the senses, which obscure minds have ruled out as "completely and totally bullshit". And so, even if my eyes are squeezed shut and my chest heaves gently with the rolling march of involuntary function, I am not at rest. I am simply in a stage of incoherence.

I normally try to sleep at least 6 hours, but never more than 10. Do you know if you sleep too long you can wake up feeling more tired than when you went to sleep? Also, even though you might not remember it, you actually do have dreams every night.

I also consider six hours a good "minimum". While in the short term, getting more sleep may not lead to feeling more awake, that's really a separate thing entirely from getting the sleep your body needs. It's not helpful to sleep too much, but one shouldn't base their amount of sleep solely around what makes you feel most awake!

I know how that is! Isn't it confusing talking about which "day" things happened on? I have similar problems with meal words, e.x. "breakfast". If I have a meal together with people shortly after waking up, but I got up at 6PM that day, is it breakfast or dinner? The best answer seems to be that it's a different meal for me vs. the other people involved, but it's still difficult to cleanly use in conversation.
