Yeah, well you can't prove that the future exists, because it isn't there yet. We're currently in the middle of a reaction that started billions of years ago. The future will be there when we get there, but it isn't there yet. Also, this universe has all kinds of limitations that make it impossible to simply do anything. You might be able to slightly alter a path or set of actions but I'm pretty sure it's all going to end up in the same place anyway. I dunno, it's fun to think about
