just finished my newest culinary blog post. wanted to show it to everyone.
i call this "dog". it looks quite complex, but its actually very simple if you know what you're doing.

Some years ago I went with a friend to a supermarket in Brive who had heard they had some Cheddar at a reasonable price, though it was the cheap orange version. We spotted some extra-mature.
"How much is the extra-mature?"
"It's the same price"
"OK we'll have it"
"How much would you like?"
"All of it"
We left with about 10lbs each.

i didn't make it. it looks like a cooked hotdog, chocolate syrup and homemade pickles with dill. (marinate cucumber slices in vinegar and salt overnight with whatever herbs u like).
the plating and presentation aren't bad but the food is kinda ridiculous tbh.

i will add that the black stuff might not be chocolate but cooked down balsamic vinegar, which is delicious with meat. but then still why a flippin' hotdog??

i also have to fault the sloppy knife work (come on! that halfway thru slice should not have gone on a plate like that!!!1) and the fact it looks like the plate is sitting on bathroom tile (huh...)
the plating has a nice artistic balance tho is what i meant by not bad...
