i don't know why you posted this or what >2016 has to do with it, but i'd like to comment on this song.

First, the good: The production is good. It's very clean, very well-mixed, full, and the bass really kicks. The synths are clear and nothing is muddy. Very good.

The bad, though? The melody is annoying and sounds like something a kid plinked out on a piano. It's repetitive and poorly-written and could have 3 or 4 fewer notes in it so it doesn't sound so annoyingly bouncy.

Also, the lyrics are abysmal. They evoke no emotion, carry no meaning, and might as well not be there. They're barely an afterthought. Now yes, lyrics don't NEED to be any of these things, but if your lyrics could at least be clever, appealing, or meaningful, why not make them so? This "i've been up, i've been down we are the wolves" or whatever garbage is just zero-effort trash.

I've heard that song and the album it came from a while ago and ultimately decided I don't much care for twenty one pilots.

The dude's a tortured-soul type that I just personally don't relate to or find appealing when expressed in song. I get why some people like them. They do some neat stuff musically.
