Undertale would've been better as an earnest traditional RPG instead of just a shmup with an overworld. Also if it didn't have such an obnoxious meta narrative attached to it. A big problem with it is that it's literally the same message as every fucking webcomic ever.

Only thing I didn't like about the soundtrack is how aggressively sampled it is. It feels like each track is from a different already established game. Song that might play when you fight Sans is Megaman X, Snowdin feels like Animal Crossing, Core is PM TtYD etc. It makes the game feel sort of soulless. Like a facsimile created from a fan merging a bunch of retro cult classics together and missing the point.
