Actually I think a migration to a separate and new futaba image board would be very good for our community, assuming we could get everyone to go over and have a small but steady influx of new members. Unfortunately I don't think that we could coordinate something like that.

The concept of anonymous imageboards comes from Japan. 4chan was founded so that a bunch of goons could talk about anime. Just about every currently-operating chan these days has a board for anime discussion (I can think of only one exception that has a userbase above ~50), and there are quite a few for which that is the only board.

I think it would be a good idea because it would split the userbase in two meaning that we will have two very slow identical boards.
People would also still post on [s4s] and the alternate site would slowly die when it's no longer new and exciting.
