Well j-pop idols occasionally have handshaking events where the idols all stand on a line alongside each other and their fans walk up and shake their hands. I don't know how common that is anymore though. There have been some unsavory accusations about what the fans do with their hands before they go up to the idols.

So it seems, according to her recent blog update, that during a birthday event held yesterday, she announced that she will be trying to go for a major music debut with Sony Musical Records. I guess that might mark the end of her gravure career.
