Why do people hate the catalog? No one looked at anything but page 1 of each board before it. Now everyone is able to see all the pages. Even the lamest, most uninteresting 0-replies thread is able to be seen before it drifts to the last page.
i don't know, I was using off-site catalogs before they implemented them into the site. it really helps for super fast boards.

I feel that /b/, being the random board, should be allowed to have audio webm's on them.
And if jumpscares are the reason behind not doing so, you can easily have the server normalize the audio on webm's using FFMpeg, which is open source and freely available.
example: this webm. It would make much more sense if there was actually audio to it. Also, its not exactly easy to add subtitles to webm's.
In fact, sound would make a lot of webm's better/funnier/exciting and it would be easier to understand the context

I remember way back when Chris-chan threads were a daily part of /v/, but now, if you post that, you'll get banned.

The quests that moved were, in the vast majority, quests that started off of tg or started under the "all quests go in tg" era. Their players were already willing to go to other boards, since they didn't go to tg on their own.
The quests still on tg are made by people who go to tg and played by people who go to tg. They are made for the audience. I'm still amazed the shitposters have yet to realize this.

People are going to write off everything the article is saying simply because of the fact they're talking about 4chan outside of 4chan (this isn't Fight Club, faggot) but it's spot on.
