How do we slow down /v/?
>start new thread
>leave for two minutes to get a glass of water
>come back
>page 7
Only option. Increased post timer or another board split
>>324775
Just use the catalog like everybody else
We need to implement some kind of depopulation program here. Since /b/v/ lives don't matter, we could just randomly ban 90% of the IPs on those boards.
Please bring back visible sage on /jp/. Using sage correctly has been an integral part of the board culture since the beginning.
As far as I know, it was removed because it was used as a form of insult on other boards but that has nothing to do with /jp/.
>>324760
It wasn't removed.
>>324762
That's stupid
Can someone explain why sage is needed? I don't get it.
If you reply to me then why the hell wouldn't you want the thread to bump? I don't get it, it's some sort of shitty combination of politeness and passive aggressivness.
delete /qa/
DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS
I think it's safe to say that frogposters are on the same level as furfags and /mlp/ posters. We should create a rule that bans pepe from being posted outside of /r9k/ and /b/, similar to how we deal with pony posters.
somebody is irritated
>>324641
I'm with you
Ok guys serious thread here.
Which four boards do you feel are currently "running" 4chan?
Clearly /b/ since it takes the most traffic.
I mean /qa/ is responsible for creating /his/ so we do have an actual say, hiro visits this board a lot.
[s4s] is one of the only boards that people aren't complaining about, and they are a living meme-factory
Lastly I would say that /v/ makes a huge imprint on the rest of the website, everyone knows what's happening on /v/ even the people who don't browse there. They are going down...

What memes have [s4s] created that actually got accepted on other boards?
/b/, /v/, /pol/, /s4s/, /r9k/
/furry/ board when?
it could even be shortened to /fu/ to capture the full feeling of the community and its detractors
even a blue board would be ok
>>324193
that was more of a prank than an actual attempt at creating the board
it was still funny desu but I think it's about time a real board was made

A continuation from the last thread here since its auto saging and on its last legs:
As you know we have been trying to find ways in order to fix /v/ up. Ideas have ranged from stricter moderation, purging /v/ and splitting it up into a /v/ just for video game discussion and a /v2/ for e-celebs, LOL comics, journalism, and other meme shit. Hiro has stated here >>322338 and here >>322303 that he wants us to talk about this on /v/ which most of...

One final other thing, filter the word Reddit into 4chan
>>323956
But both the Japanese and western fights in that image are cool.
/b/ used to be one of the golden examples and
meme generator of 4chan,
a place that as pic related says was a place to lose your humanity
Why is it just porn, shitty "what should i text" threads, kik threads, and general just boring mess
so how can we add a breath of fresh air to that
shithole
have a robot like /r9k/ but have it reset every 24 hours
We can't. Memes are dead, that era is over.
Gotta move on.
We don't need memes. Just make /b/ a redirect to a site we all dislike.
Can we make complaining about /pol/ outside of /pol/ or /qa/ a bannable offense? We can just piggyback it on complaining about moderation.
It seems like every single time someone post an opinion anyone can accuse them of being from /pol/ and the entire thread will erupt. Even if said post was not political, racist or ant-semitic in nature.
So how about it? We keep /pol/ in /pol/ and we keep shitposters from shitposting and destroying threads by accusing people of being /pol/
If you want I can provide examples of this in action, though I'd rather not...

seriously.
you go on the history board and its full of leftist marxist shitheads and the moment someone says something they dont like its "go back to pol"
it ruins and prevents a board about discussing topics to discuss topics

Isn't that black guy Will Smith?

>I don't like being told to go back to /pol/, it hurts my fee-fees, please cater to me
Hiro has shown himself as a force of change for the betterment of 4chan. He listens and discusses all issues presented to him and is not afraid of experimenting.
What other issues are left? I know of the following:
- Quests thread on /tg/ saturating the board (A forum games board has been suggested and Hiro said he will consider it)
- /aco/ getting vanilla and /d/ content forced in the same place
- /mlp/ asking to be made nsfw
- Furries requesting a /fur/
Let's try to point out issues that are not "I don't like this" but "this...

I care less about the issues plaguing the site, and more about whatever fun and random things Hiro will do purely because he can. I like that he's basically treating the place like HIS site and isn't treating 4chan like some sort of super professional place.

Let's share, /qa/. Post interesting images you've collected from visiting other boards. I'll start out with a few.
Got this one from /g/ in one of the threads where they try to shrink an image to the smallest filesize possible.
There are even smaller ones, but 4chan reads those as corrupt.
Bizarre Eva x Azumanga crossover.
Whoops, wrong pic. This is the engineer mnemonic.
Can we have the flags and IDs removed from /pol/?
They were maliciously implemented on /pol/ by moot as a punishment, don't you think it's been long enough? I've been waiting and waiting for things to go back to normal, but they never go back to normal.
>>321377
When the fuck is hiro going to remove the fucking flags and ids? Absolutely embarrassing at this plain point.
>>323448
What does that even mean?
People from outside 4chan see in Hiro the opportunity to change 4chan.
These are people, probably young and thickheaded, who identify strongly with the local cultures of other large web communities.
These are people obsessed with distorting 4chan in their own image. They see some kind of moral or aesthetic victory in this, probably due to 4chan's popularity.
These are the people who cry the loudest about "bogeyman" when you call them on their aberrant mannerisms.
These are also the people who cry loudest for you to "deal with it"...

you are right. A large number of redditors and fb normies have infested 4chan. Go to any of the niche boards(boards that have threads up for months)and look at the latest posts and threads. Most of them are about how stupid their hobby is, and how the board should be closed.
And, recently, take a look at how sharply the annoyance against reddit users has lowered. Redditors are infesting in drones, and are being completely accepted.
Tumblrites I am not that worried about, because most of them end up triggered...

/qa/ and /his/ are the places where redditors are converging, and the endless strawpolls about killing a board are not something I would've seen circa 2010.
I mean, seriously, look at >>320900
Most redditors are like this. They offer no arguments snd just resort to endless memes which they do not understand.
Thsi place stinks of reddit now.
Hello cc, my old friend.
The reason being is that an interest in philosophy naturally follows from an interest in literature and the posters on /lit/ are far more likely to be informed about philosophy than the posters on /his/. Philosophy is ingrained into literature and it has been a part of the board's culture since its inception. Creating this divide is only going to turn many posters away from both boards.
t. 99% of /lit/
Also y'know what? /lit/ was the de facto humanities board before the creation of /his/ anyway. I used to see sociology and psychology threads there from time to time.
Excising "the humanities" from /lit/ sterilizes the board.
>>320546
This actually makes sense
Since the board is just starting out and there's a lot of stuff going on, can shitposting such as in the pic, just be permanently banned from /his/? They obviously aren't taking the board seriously if they're shitposting, so I don't see why they should be there. All it's doing is trashing up the place.
anthropologically speaking that'd probably just fuel the fire
>>318733
/b/ has joined in and is spamming trap and futa porn
It's clearly someone pretending to be /pol/.
The mods aren't going to fall for this.
