Instead of just stopping using the filtered words (the intended outcome), the shitposters just ignored the filters and kept right on using them.

I know many people have been wanting to increase moderation and enforce the rules on /v/, but it had become more and more clear everyday that we can't save it with these. The board moves way too fast to begin with, meaning mods can't keep up at all. When the mods actually try and do something it doesn't work. The Redditors just don't learn their lesson and continue to funpost whenever they can. The mods are simply too lazy at this point, they don't want to do anything because it's too much work for them.

When I was working on a screenplay and needed referenced material they helped me every step of the way with recs. /a/ wouldn't erupted in autism at the mere thought of me not knowing as much about anime as they do.
