>yfw modern 4chan is nothing more than a castrated reddit colony
>>369925
This board is for questions. So what's yours?
>>369925
actually the opposite is true
>>369925
Does reddit talk about 4chan as much as 4chan talks about reddit? Seriously, this can't be healthy
Why not just be honest and rename it /fur/? Because that's all it is.
>>369680
>Anime avatarfagging , Hunger Game threads , kpop threads and b& generals are /fur/.
Yeah , no.
If you don't like it ignore it.
>>369725
Okay.
>>369680
Just because it has so much /fur/ doesn't mean that's what the point of the board is. It just means that not all trash is fur but all furryposts are trash.
Something needs to be done about generals on 4chan. They're taking over every board on the site. /jp/ and /g/ in particular have been hit really badly, with most of the first page covered in generals.
When are we going to do something about this? They go against 4chan's purpose of temporary, disposable threads and encourage famewhores and tripfriends. They need to be either eradicated from 4chan or have a strict limit (like only one thread per week).
"I don't like it when people have threads that they like that I personally don't like."
Get with the times, old man. I bet you still use the word "epic".
>>369628
>"I don't like it when people have threads that they like that I personally don't like."
When general threads become thinly veiled chatrooms with non-content they go against the rules of the board and have no reason to exist.
And when they aren't acting like a chatroom they are basically full of daily doses, shitposting, image dumps, fanfiction and roleplay shit.
>>369635
>daily doses
classic /jp/
>shitposting
classic /jp/
>image dumps
classic /jp/
>fanfiction
only MGG
>roleplay shit
only MGG
and maybe BMSG they get up to all kinds of shit in there
Why do /v/ mods delete video game threads? Do some of them have an agenda?
nice blog, fag
lmao
>>369286
Well, they deleted that one because it is a troll thread. Idea Factory is releasing Monster Monpiece uncensored.
I'm not supportive of the idea of deleting the /pol/ board because I think it will only cause /pol/ to spread like a plague to other boards (worse than it already has.) But can it be a global rule that overtly /pol/ posts shall not be posted outside of /pol/? Kinda tired of trying to talk about the stuff I entertain myself with to ESCAPE from crappy reality only to have those threads ruined by people arguing about /pol/ crap.
Pic not really related.
it already is a global rule
>>369229
Which one? I don't see it. I see something about not posting shit outside of /b/. But it's kinda sad when /b/ has more quality content than /pol/
>>369226
Better moderation is the only thing that can be done. With SJWs or other idiots, they fuck off when you insult them or tell them to leave. With /pol/, though, they're too dense and more abrasive so even though you might get them to start whining, you'll never get them to leave.
IRS. That's all you can do. Better mods are needed but just IRS /pol/ and other idiots.
The email field should be returned. There are legitimate uses for it without being a constant emailfag. It makes it easier for anons to contact you without posting your email right into your comment (which just invites more problems), should that be needed for whatever reason. It would also give us visible sage once again. which most anons are in favor of. The email field is a basic part of most imageboards, and it should be here, like it used to be.
>>369208
I'm confused. How exactly does it make it easier for folks to contact you without posting your email in the comment field? Isn't the email field no more or less visible than just posting your email like you do now?
>>369212
Most anons overlook it because it looks like a standard sage. When you post it in the comment field, it invites unwanted attention.
>>369214
Oh, that makes sense.
#hashtags on 4chan is something that should be implemented.
Why?
To make it easier for users to find messages with specific themes or content that go across boards.
For instance, superhero movies are both /co/ and /tv/ and with hashtags we'd be able to have expanded discussions.
Pointless and retarded
>>369173
I'm okay with this, I always liked the idea of hashtags, but hated how they are abused by normalfags
>>369173
We don't need to bring more twitter shit here. It will also be abused to all hell. Was bad enough with all the nigger speak shit before the filters (and even after to an extent).
If you want to find something use the catalog's search bar.
If you want even more flexibility then use the neet catalog and use the digest feature with the search bar with multiple boards added to it.
If you have been browsing for longer than a year and haven't been banned at least once you are boring as fuck and probably shouldn't be here.
Agree or disagree?
Hello 8gag
>>369084
It brings up the question of what boards ban the most and what boards ban the least.
>>369115
I'd say /a/ or /v/ probably do the most banning. Or maybe /tv/.
>/news/ still hasn't got more than 10,000 posts
>>368989
I didn't know that quantity was a sign of quality. In fact the opposite seems true.
>>368990
A dead board also isn't a sign of quality.
>>368994
Posting pepe isn't a sign of quality either.
I just noticed we got a new text board. And everything about it is hilarious.
>text board
>it's about news
>sticky says "Blatant trolling and racism is not permitted."
This is by far the funniest things to ever happen on this site. Fucking reddit can't make a news board without bringing up race. How the fuck does he expect to run this board?
/news/ is slow as fuck, who cares
>>368931
Do you log on once a week? It's a week old now.
>>368956
>log on
You are the cancer killing 4chan.
>"Hiro 4chan is infested with malware. Please fix it."
>GOOD MORE MALWARE = LESS USERS
>IF WE GET ON A BLOCKLIST AS A MALWARE SITE THEN NO BAD POSTERS WILL BE ABLE TO FIND US
>I WANT 4CHAN TO BE A SEKRIT HUGBOX
are you people for fucking real
>>368812
There are retards on this site who actually say that? Holy shit that's stupid.
Fewer.
Remove captcha. Bring back Kimmo.
Normalfags out.
Delete /his/ as the board was a good experiment and fun whilst it lasted but it's seriously awful.
>>368759
There are worse boards
Also, there are a lot of less popular boards in terms of frequency of new posts that passed the trial board test- /gd/ for example.
>>368759
Hello there user!
I see you have filed a complaint about /his/ The History board on 4chan!
/his/ was brought about by a mass influx of requests via the feedback system.
If you feel as if your request shares an equal or greater amount of followers that were needed to create the board in the first place, then please feel free to utilize the same process over at www.4chan.org/feedback.
If this is just your own personal opinion, please keep in mind that 4chan has a daily intake of over 1 million...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
It's great though.
/gsg/, one of the oldest generals on /vg/, survives off memes. Filter Tbh, F@m and s.m.h is killing the general. Please remove them.
Go fuck yourself. Take your shitty facebook ironic shitposting somewhere else if you want to use them so badly.
>>368730
Why so salty fæm?
>>368731
Ahurr salty durr
Fuck off retard
For fucks sake, why do we still have mobile redirects hiro? The Candy Crush redirect is still present and I ran into pic related today.
URL for the new one is http://linksdynamics.com/jump/?jl=21929718
>using the front page
>>368706
Not trying to sound pedantic, but do you know what a bookmark is?
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/188842?rd=1
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6511720
Bookmark your favorite board's catalog directly. Never be redirected again.
Which do you prefer?
>>368703
Creation Date.
Last reply instead of bump order because sometimes the faggot mods autosage threads and expect no one to notice. Creation date for finding shit threads to report. I alternate between these two.
Reply Count seems useless
