Sure it's anime themed but /tv/ has pretty great evangelion threads every now and then that sometimes even get to 300 posts. The mods allow light anime discussion now and then, but even this thread was more about female characters in media rather than Kill la Kill.

What about a generic board for all types of generals? Make it so it can hold like 3x the number of threads the other boards can, set threads to archive/nuke themselves after 750 posts
