Then how would you explain the image limits, and that a single poster could then hoard the entire thread? They'd have to keep the image limit to 150 posts with images, and even if they start allowing three pictures per image, it will invent so many new fucking memes and cancer, and not to mention that the server load will be almost tripled, and ALL THE CURRENT ARCHIVES WILL HAVE TO BE RECTIFIED...

Because images are an extension of a post and you only need 1 picture for that. We don't need the entire site to become an actual image dumping ground. Instead of asking for a retarded pointless feature, instead ask for maybe higher file limits instead. I'd rather be able to post higher image sizes, then using 2 images in a post

I had a dream that 4chan never became shit and ended up as a semi-serious discussion site for otaku culture and hobbies. The textboards were also alive. Essentially, in the dream, 4chan was like an English 2ch. Social media was also dead and had been replaced with anonymous discussion. IRC and Telnet were still actively used by people. The internet was like a higher quality, more refined version of 2003-2006.

It pretty much means you need to hit f5.
There was some sort of lag that caused you to open up the page that corresponded to the thread before the thread actually promulgated.
Hitting F5 mere miliseconds after you see the 404 will fix it.
In my experience, this usually happens on /r9k/, which makes sense because each post has to check against the Robot Filter.
