Hello there! Fellow Reddit user here. This is the 4chan feedback forum (I know this because I've been here for a month so that means I'm an oldf*g, dasu dasu mudpicks), and I believe I know how I can fix this website to make it as user-friendly as Reddit! We Redditors tend to be an intellectual bunch, so you can trust our opinion (my IQ is 168, by the way).
I propose that we enforce Global Rule 3 a lot and delete boards which frequently violate said rule. Boards like /b/, /pol/, /s4s/ and /r9k/ are very unsafe, I've been bullied a lot by the users of these...

Didn't read.
>if I don't like it, it's reddit :^)
Opinion automatically invalidated, you shitter.
Are you australian?
>>386908
It's very clear that you didn't even read it
Kill yourself faggot
>DUDE WEED LMAO
Is this shitpost meme getting out of control or should we allow it to spread to a few more boards while we continue to whine about "desu" and other pointless filters that don't need to exist?
This is something we can all get behind. Shit, I found a desktop thread the other day where someone's pipe was on a shelf and got 5 "DUDE WEED LMAOs".
At what point does a shitpost's meme status gets exemption from the rules? Seriously these people are worse than "stoners".
>>386569
Hello, my pot smoking redditor friend. Are you upset that being a stoner is no longer edgy and unique? Maybe you should move on to cocaine or bath salts.
>>386571
Notice how I complained about stoners at the end of my post....
>whaa let me shitpost about weed
Ridiculing people you don't want here helps driving them away
Why isn't loli allowed on /aco/?
Because loli is the porn of the Devil.
Global rule #1
>>384854
CP is against the rules
Hiro, there's a problem.
The users hate the mods and the mods hate the users, once upon a time the mods were championed and were seen as one of us, but nowadays it's just a circle of hate.
Please fix.
Make the mods not be fucking faggots
>>384402
No easy task, specially when you got people like Swaglord and Troid running around as mods
Already a thread
>>378314
Mods are trash human beings on all other sites, why wouldn't this apply to 4chan?
If every staff member were a clone of moot he would have never left. I doubt Hiro is making any decisions here, the reddit mods are obviously whispering poison into his ear.
If you weren't a newfag you'd know this was already known years ago after the exodus from SA.
Ever heard of "mods=fags"? Or why it was revolutionary at the time to be able to say that and not get banned? Anyone surprised that the mods are like this clearly hasn't been around for any real period of time.
But, the good thing is, doesn't matter what they like. Ban you? Reset the router. They're impotent and can't really fucking do anything, hence why they just sit in IRC circlejerking with sycophants who want to be a mod too....

8ch is trash, redditor
>>388000
So was SASS. But, whatever, go on about your le reddit boogeyman if you want. I don't care, just replying to OP about how he's a stupid newfag who hasn't been around long enough to see history repeat itself.
Can perpetuating "(You)" culture (the idea that replies have any value) be a bannable offense?
>>387814
Surely I'm not the only one that screencaps all my posts that get a lot of replies, right?
My record is 165 btw.
>>387814
I love how people who use this reveal how desperate they are for attention and recognition.
Question:
1. Why have these rules if they're rarely enforced?
2. Why have these rules that make basically any and every post a bannable offense?
I'm starting to think there's a disconnect between what mods think 4chan is supposed to be and what many users think it's supposed to be. I just wish there was more communication on what is and isn't allowed.
>>387671
>you will not post the following outside of /b/:
>image macros
Uh, so technically anyone posting a picture outside of /b/ can be banned?
>>387671
Mods rely mostly on users to report posts, most users choose to reply to low quality posts rather than report them and this results in those sort of post not often getting deleted.
>>387674
This is an image macro.
>>387692
And you just posted it outside of /b/. Oh shit.
>guy uses the archive to track your posts
>calls you redditor
>he doesn't see the irony in this
>>387463
>whines about reddit
>being a tripfag
>he doesnt ser the irony
>>387463
How do you track someone's posts on archives anyway?
>>387562
By filenames, usually.
If there is anybody who hasn't received his own personal board yet, please make a report to our team and we will fix the issue as soon as possible.
-----------------------------
Seriously, are you retarded Hiro? You add a new board whenever some whining fag make two threads about it on /qa/. I liked you at the beginning, /his/ was a good move but from there it went to hell. /news/ and /thrash/ are absolutely pointless and dead when /pol/ and /b/ still exists. Stop it before it's too late.
>>387276
Why are people bitching so much about new boards
>>387277
Because it's creating huge mess and splitting already small communities into even smaller parts, which will result to plenty of ded useless boards.
>>387280
>small communities
>small
>communities
none of those words are applicable to any board at 4chan and neither do those two words combine to become relevant.
>>362979
Monthly reminder >>362979 Hiroyuki you need add auto-ban for all social media, Hiroyuki, you still remember how you saved 2ch from korean cancers, so can you save us as saved 2ch previously, ban all redditard, twittertard and facebooktard (etc. shit) they are even more cancerous here, they don't respect our culture and use their idiotic slang without respecting the generally accepted way of communicating on 4chan.
>>387146
Bump
>>387146
>i am le 4chan culture expert
smfh tbf you stupid cuck
>>387793
You don't need be an expert to realize which of rules you break:
3)You will not post any of the following outside of /b/: indecipherable text (example: "lol u tk him 2da bar|?"),
Is there a reason why /l/ will never return? Is it a legal issue or is there just a lack of demand?
>>387114
>lack of demand for loli content
>on 4chan
Hello, newposter.
>>387114
Moot never liked loli, and only put up with it due to his friends intervention. When he left, and 4chan became too popular to properly hide such content without scrutiny and legal shit, /l/ left with him.
I can only assume japs don't like loli at all, and none of the current mods want it bad enough either, so it never will return, despite user input.
4chan is a normalfag website so the presence of a lolicon board would throw people into a tizzy.
Why wasn't this made yet?
We can go discuss languages there and how to learn them while /int/ will stay for general cultural exchange, not like you can discuss anything seriously in that reddit shithole.
There was lang/ but that shit was dead even before actually dying, we need an imageboard
does programming languages count?
4chan really isn't the right place for that.
I'd recommend duolingo or rosettastone or something, and then IRC Chatrooms on freenode or rizon or something for your language of choice.
Also 4chan isn't a chatroom.
Why do anime/manga threads keep getting deleted from /a/?
https://desustorage.org/a/thread/134712357/#134741411
https://desustorage.org/a/thread/134879438/#134879438
I'm guessing they were too lewd for the mod
>>384617
but it didnt break any rules
>>384631
Yes it did.
What would you do if you were in charge of 4chan, /qa/?
I would:
- enable sound for webms
- disable flags and IDs on /pol/
- disable filters
- delete /qa/
>>378281
>What would you do if you were in charge of 4chan, /qa/?
I'd shitpost and post dank memes
>>378281
All of these are good.
>>378293
This as well.
There is nothing wrong with shitposting per se as long as it's funny. Aggressive moderation is the most significant reason why /his/ is still 5/5 breddy gud. Low-effort """"""humour"""""" gets you b& with prejudice, leaving only good discussion and genuine wit.
2ch style textboards desu
Anyone have 4chan.org redirect to one of those bullshit flash update sites every so often? Happened a few times this week (out of the near 100 times i type 4chan.org in url bar and hit enter)
Next time it happens i'll screenshot and post URL. Normally i'd 100% think this is on my end, but it happened on two seperate machines. One running windows 7 and the other OS X. Only happened once or twice on the windows machine.
This only seems to happen with 4chan's address. I'm pretty anal about what processes are running, don't download bullshit...

Your router might be... uh... fucked. Anally.
Never happened to me. Check your history for typos. Next time it happens do a tracert and see where the server is.
