Would /v/ be better if it were as strictly moderated as /a/?
I've seen about five porn threads reach almost 300 posts in a span of ~4 hours the past few days. Any moderation at all would be really helpful.
>>398565
Any board strictly moderated and having users on it that actually give a shit about the board and actively try to fix shit themselves, will always be better. The users caring is the key point here. A board that doesn't have users that care or is incapable of gaining a gathering of people who care is incapable of actually leaving its shitposting pool
Most shitposters shitpost, because there's no real consequences. At the moment, their threads can reach bump-limit, before it's dealt with. If it were deleted, before anyone even posted, and this were to happen several times, most shitposters would just give up, and we'd only be left with the few dedicated ones.
What happened, /qa/?
Nothing happened, after the AMA this board became cancer.
I just come here for the laughs. I like to laugh at stupid people without having to click on the /v/ link.
>>398477
>the AMA
>he's mad that some people blew his argument to shreds by actually being long term users of the site and making all of his time reading ED and KYM irrelevant
Why is /tv/ moderation so shit?
https://boards.4chan.org/tv/thread/64283864/
https://fgts.jp/qa/thread/397995/
>last thread deleted
why does 4chan have so many betacuck mods? holy shit
>>398138
lol
We need new mods. Until they get purged moderation will never improve no matter how many rules they change.
>5 Rooney threads
at least we know who the mod's waifu is
The majority of people on /tv/ request audio webms
Supreme overlord Gook, grant us our wish
That could open up a lot of copyright issues.
Reminder that 4chan isn't a democracy.
>board with possibly tens of thousands of posters
>434 people is the majority
Yea no.
What happened to the mod who used to delete/autosage loli threads on /a/? Did Hiro fire his ass?
hiro probably told him to ~take it easy~ when hiro told the mods to not delete nipple pics
>>397658
nop, hiros too beta to do that
>>397658
>used to
Don't get comfortable anon. They haven't gone anywhere. A few /l/ threads here and there are more or less outliers in the grand scheme of things. Give it another six months then reassess the situation.
What's happening with 4chan the last few days?
It's dead, Jim.
>>397526
Does Hiro address hardware issues or shutdowns or does he just let them happen without warning? moot has been inconsistent about them in the past as well. We all just figured shit happened and don't worry about it. I sure don't give a fuck.
ask me anything

Will I ever finish learning Japanese?
>>396813
No. You will never know a language in its full extinct.

Why does Rule 7 exist? I feel as if you're being punished for trying to help.
I honestly don't see the reason why stating such a trivial phrase deserves a ban.
Let's see, which rule is 7... hmm..
>Submitting false or misclassified reports, or otherwise abusing the reporting system may result in a ban. Replying to a thread stating that you've reported or "saged" it, or another post, is also not allowed.
Wait, I think I see it. Yeah, there it is.
>Replying to a thread stating that you've reported or "saged" it, or another post, is also not allowed.
The answer to your question is right fucking there.
Short version:...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Because it contributes nothing and only serves to increase the amount of shitposting in the already questionable thread.
Not all bad threads are strictly shitposting (Some are just wildly off-topic), but actively antagonizing the posters in it leads directly to shitposting 9 times out of 10. And if the thread isn't actually breaking any rules, then saying you've reported it is both a false report AND an attempt to create shit. It's a perfectly good rule.
>>398647
Rule 7 exists so that mods can ban you for reporting NSFW webms on /tv/ of women getting tied to a bed and their clothes cut off, revealing full frontal nudity.
>inb4 one or two "reddit", "autism" and "cancer" spammers in this thread will destroy everything.
Please let us have the general back. It would mean the world to me, and many more.
PLEASE HIRO
It has been very clear that /got/ is banned because the show is no longer airing, implying it will be back when season six starts and there are things to discuss. At this point you're shitposting for shitposting's sake.
>>398598
Dr. Who isn't airing. They have Generals all the time.
>>398600
/tv/ must have the most corrupt mods on this site. They like Star wars and Dr who, so the rules are never applied to those threads.
I will be spokesman for /b/
I get that no one on /qa/ likes /b/
but we can't be ignored
Mook, a lot of the /b/ros want ID's back to stop samefaggotory.
Can we habe ID's back pls?
>>398468
we can always use signatures, like so
~Deathkiller32
Yeah! We're tired of having to use signatures manually, like so.
~Deathkiller32
>>398468
Seconded.
~Deathkiller33
Anyone who reports low quality/off topic posts n number of times in a week should be gifted captchaless posting for a month. Discuss.
>>398374
>report n shitposts per week
>post n+1 shitposts per week, captchaless, for a month
Yeah, nah.
>implying mods will keep up with all the reports anyways
The mods already ignore my reports so that would be worthless OP.
That would be a great idea if we actually had a competent moderation team to enforce it.
mods please sticky this topic on /v/ for New Years

The general system helped keep shitposting in check. Now, the board has turned up the autism to fucking eleven.
Bring back /got/
Relegate Meme Wars: The Cuck Awakens to it's own /starwars/ general.
The board is just as bad as it was at the height of bane posting.
Pic related. The top two catalog lists right now.
>On-topic posting
>Please put these on-topic threads in their own board!
Don't like them don't reply to them. Make threads you want to see, instead. Don't get replies? Try again. Hide threads you don't like.
Oh my goodness, it's like 4chan or something.
>>398330
So you're arguing we should re allow Bane posting? Were you even on /tv/ during that time?
How is attempting to corral one subject taking over an entire board against 4chan?
Look at /pol/, /v/, and /int/. When a topic pops up that they know will have a lot of replies, what happens? They create one "general" thread at the top and prune all the fucking duplicate threads. It's the same thing. Not allowing /got/ generals but allowing SW to spam the entire board is shit.
The board is total shit meanwhile the mods are banning people for reporting waifu threads. It's a joke.
Why do mods let cp stay on /sp/ on forever but kill off any broship/power ranking/ass threads in seconds?
>>398303
well they do it for free, i imagine
Generals are cancer. You are cancer.
Make jokes and discussions when something interesting happens. Make a forum if you need constant bullshit.
THIS SHIT IS REAL IT'S NOT A FUCKING JOKE

No one's going to use your faggy phrase "meme magic." Fuck off.
Can you imagine the kind of fag who tries to force this shit?
>>398282
you think they don't know this?
the occultists on /fringe/ who started all this knew and know this very well already.
