All of them.
How do you explain to a mod that a discussion thread is not a request thread?
Really tired of mods who can't tell the difference. You literally cannot start a discussion thread without getting warned or banned because a mod gets confused and thinks you are making a request, even when the thread explictly says it isn't a request thread.
>>401395
Because you're requesting a discussion thread, dumbass.
>>401468
that's not how it works
>>401487
Depending on what board you were banned from that's exactly how it works.
Anyone keep getting these bans periodically?
The networks I get them on aren't proxies or VPNs, and after never having this happen to me before it randomly started at college over the last semester, and now it's happening at home.
I don't want to say the mods are passive aggressively banning people or something, but it just seems really suspicious, which is why I ask.
>>401024
You college probably uses a VPN without you knowing it.
>>401024
Either this >>401025 or you have a dynamic ip and some nerdmos are running open proxies in your area.
If you use the softher vpn thing to play waboo games, then just make sure to not participate in their botnet (don't check the "help softether's network", or whatever it's called, when you install their client).
>>401024
Your IP probably changes often and you're probably in the same range as some proxy exit nodes, I've gotten one of these before, just reset your IP and it should be gone. You can probably ask a mod on IRC too.
Is pic related the most epic post a long time?
On /mu/, yeah. Probably since that boston thing.
What's the context? I have no idea what that post is supposed to refer to.
>>397546
A few hours after pic related happened the musician that said the quote in the OP died
Please wordfilter "WaniKani". It's a $400 paysite that is being spammed on /a/'s Daily Japanese Thread recently, either for marketing or trolling purposes.

55 mentions so far in this thread alone.

No fucking point in wordfiltering. Self-moderation is the way to go since wordfilters are inherently useless (you can say wani kani or shit like that). Just be the bigger man and report and ignore.
Also you're a fucking faggot.
DJT is not about anime or manga. How do you justify its continued presence on /a/?
Please and thank you.
It doesn't have to be permanent, it doesn't have to be a filter, just do something about it. Somehow moderating wanikani arguments until people forget about new years would be appropriate.

At least 50% is pure shitposting
ThinkPad General
Do we really need generals just for ThinkPads? Turns out not really since it's also mostly off-topic shitposting.
Daily carry
How the fuck is this even /g/ related?! Just because they also carry around smartphones?
This should be in /out/ if anywhere.
What I'm really trying to tell you is a super easy way to shipost about anything on any board you want.

This is how generals (and often how general-like threads) work.
Generals are nothing but cancer, and because they hardly ever get deleted, it makes the...

Generals naturally become communities where the regulars talk about what they want. There is no "solution" to this apart from banning generals.
Of course, the other option is for you to scroll past or hide the thread and stop being a huge fucking baby.
And that's the way we like it, OP.
Stop trying to ruin the fun.
>there is a video game general board
>but /trb/ and /fifa/ are, somehow, located in >>>/sp/
Can anyone explain me why is that happening?
they were so ingrained on /sp/ by the time that anyone complained, that the mods decided to just leave them alone.
/v/ doesnt want dudebro garbage like that.
>>400738
/co/ has 3 long-running video game generals as well, mods are just lazy bastards who don't want to bother doing anything more than the minimal amount of work required.

you must frequent very fast boards indeed for you to complain about that
that happens to me maybe once every 6 months on average
>>400463
This was actually on /mu/ and the thread was deleted despite it seeming to not break any of the board's rules

Once in a while, OP deletes their own thread.

It passive aggressively tells a person that you believe their post is bad, usually without giving any relevant info as to why. Newfags probably wouldn't even know what you were implying. At it's best it does nothing and worse incites a flamewar.
>>399786
Your post is shit.
how could a /high/ board be useful?

It's the currency of the land. Outside of this place many of those same people wouldn't be caught dead uttering out loud the fact that they've been coming here for years. Being Anonymous (or at least pseudonymous) here has its perks.
Nobody demands respect for it. It's just annoying seeing a newfag go on about what the site is or what the site's history is while clearly never being there for it.
It'd be like if I wrote a biography about your life and just made random shit up, and when you corrected me I threw a fit about you knowing more about your own life having been there than I would with my borderline fanfiction of your life.

BOARD
/asp/ right now is split between two groups: people who participate in and discuss alternative sports, and wrestling fans.
/asp/ has always been split between those groups, but nobody minded too much because everybody stuck to their general threads. But since the name change of the board, /asp/ has been completely overwhelmed with constant wrestling threads.
The alternative sports people are sick of having to sift through dozens of wrestling threads to find now buried sports threads, and I'm sure the wrestling fans are sick of us complaining about their presence....

Send them back to /sp/ where their shit 'banter' and 'bro culture' belongs
>>397587
But they already have a containment board, you are on it.
/asp/ was created specifically for them. If you dont like it then make more threads and bring more traffic to your generals to drown them out
>>397571
Send them to /tv/, that's where they belong
What board started this shit? It sounds like something some tryhard 14 year old on /a/ would say.

Redditors. They are unable to comprehend something as simple as imageboard culture yet somehow follow convoluted and unclear practices like reddiquette and modiquette.
