Why do the lowliest scum, the whiniest pieces of shit on 4chan use this board for nothing but bitching about things they don't like instead of answering questions?
Because this isn't /adv/.
>>405502
Because the people complaining weren't here for when /q/ was a board and are doomed to repeat history.
>>405502
Motivation: Because the question and answer board has had a momentum shift that has shown it to be the premier place to bitch about things they don't like. The community of people already bitching draws in more bitches to bitch so /qa/ is a very welcoming place for bitches, motivating people to bitch here. Likewise, as more and more bitches arrive the question answering necessarily dwindles, because even if the numbers remain the same, 4chan's formatting doesn't allow them to hold any more weight than...

Why is /a/ so annoying?
Motivation: Things that you find annoying are seen as positive and enjoyable to the majority of /a/ and they are trying to be positive and enjoyable to each other. Likewise, your disdain for /a/'s behaviour and annoyance with their actions and methodology returns positive yields to them, so it is in their best interest to be "annoying" and they do things in their best interest.
Justification: "People like different things, and I like myself. I will join like minded individuals and do the best I can to help those people be the way I think is best for...

Reminder that people who say shit like "cringe", "cringed hard", "cringy as fuck", etc, are guaranteed to be redditors 99% of the time.
Call them out every time you see them doing that, because there aren't enough people doing it. I believe we are suffering another influx of redditors since this only started getting prominent in some boards like 3 months ago.

Cringe is a normal word and it was always used you retard
Is there a way to report a Mod/Janitor for misconduct?
Like saying an off topic thread is on topic when clearly it's not even remotely on topic?
I'm not going to get too much into details but I'm certain many of you ran into this before and I feel the Janitor/Mod needs to be reeducated on the specific rules of a board.
Not complaining about Moderation but there is an obvious need for re-education.
>>405309
There is a "feedback" option, but the mods and janitors ignore it because they don't listen to us. They fucking hate the users on here
You could always contact Hiro
But I doubt he'll know what's going on
once again the board is full of /b/ tier star wars spam and whoever it is you've hired is doing nothing but deleting only threads s/he doesn't like
>>405296
The mod in question is swaglord/invisbro, a mod moot put in charge of /tv/ back in 2011. He's the one ruining /tv/. He also mods [s4s].
>>405296
Yep, not only the Star Wars spam but the liberal agenda pushing really has gotten insufferable over the last 6 months. The mod always lets those threads run
>>405313
Not to mention the interracial porn threads
even if you type the exact letters it will not solve.
what is the deal with these new captchas?
>>405251
They happen from time to time. Its more or less proof that the report system is broken as fuck
>>405251
For me they pop up when I'm doing heavy posting in generals for live events. I think they are a kind of anti spam measure.
Anyways, delete cookies and you go back to house numbers
>>405268
i think they might have something to do with either: i made too many reports, or the report queue is full?
why does /tv/ have to be such a cesspool?
When I see someone asking if something is any good, I like to lie and tell them it is even if it's something I've never played/watched/read/etc. Sometimes I even go so far as to make things up. I just want people to try things for themselves and form their own opinions instead of dismissing something just because someone else says it's bad. So my win condition is simply to convince them to try it, whatever it is.
>>405188
I only respond if I have any first hand knowledge on the subject and also believe something is good. I don't like to lie to people, but if I don't have anything nice to say I don't say anything at all.
In an effort to combat shitposting and low-quality threads, I think all replies should automatically be set on sage. If the poster thinks the thread is quality enough, they can remove the sage option manually from their post.
This should help keep newfriends from continually bumping crappy threads and would be useful on the fast/problem boards like /v/ and /b/.
Thoughts on this?
>>405175
I think your standards are way too high.
I wouldn't be against it, though as usual you have a poor understanding of sage's purpose so you've essentially killed any chance of this happening.
I sage a lot of my posts anyway just because I don't feel they're worth bumping the thread with. I'm glad they made sage invisible all those years ago because I'd hate to see idiots thinking I'm "downvoting" their thread.

There are several reasons to quit weed. If any of these apply to you then it's worth it to quit weed.
1. Weed can be expensive if you're too much of a dumbass to learn how to grown your own, or you can't afford the initial investment of plants/hydroponics.
2. It may be illegal in your location and you need to pass a drug test to get a job.
3. You may be dating somebody who has a moral objection to mind altering substances and are unwilling to break up with them.
Quitting weed is quite...

>about the same difficulty as quitting 4chan
so basically impossible.
>>405087
It's not impossible. You just mostly need to replace it with something else. Hopefully something fun. 4chan is a very social outlet for a lot of people but not everybody. Lurkers, who make up close to 80% of 4chan's userbase, have little trouble quitting for long spans of time. I'd quit for a month to show you how easy it is but this thread would be gone by then, and there'd be no way to prove what I did due to 4chan's ephemeral nature.
It's just a matter of combining willpower with...

Probably the most common reasons here.
This is a good time to test your self control skills. Quitting isn't enoguh, you're gonna have to eliminate the want for weed as well. These wants and needs will only bring you pain and suffering if you're sitting there wanting to light up. Don't want the weed and quitting will be better. Not saying you can't go back to it, but certainly you shouldn't want it anymore if you want to quit.
So this surely will be a nice challenge for you...

Hiro we NEED /butt/ - Butter board RIGHT NOW. I can't discuss butter in peace anywhere now. PLZ HIRO make /butt/ - Butter board
>pic related - butter
>>405018
That was a pretty funny satire about the way your average user on /qa/ behaves. Thank you for that biting commentary on the state of our board. You did a good job.
>>405018
Putting butter on toast while it is still hot causing the butter to melt is the best. And then adding sugar to it.
>>405018
how can we make 4chan
a butter place for all of us
If someone puts a bunch of illegal stuff on 4chan servers, who would answer to the feds? I'm guessing they wouldn't fly over to japan to talk to ann hiro any time soon.
Now that I think about it, who the hell is even maintaining the ghetto pile of macs that are the 4chan servers now that moot's out of the pic? Never thought mods had the authority to do stuff like that.
Wild ass spectulation: Feds call up the SuperHiro, and be all
>who dat?
And Hiro is all
>fuggifiknow.
And hiro gives the IP address, and tells the janitors to delete that shit.
I assume the 4chan administrators (identifiable by a red capcode) would handle those situations accordingly. for example Mark Zuckerberg is not contacted every-time something illegal is posted on facebook servers. (common sense would tell you that) of course all this is speculation.
>>404997
Facebook's staff complies whenever the feds want data from them. Moot, supposedly, does too.

Or as I said in the other thread, at least put a link to the flag extension in the sticky.
Can this fucking J-list ad be banned from blue boards please? I'd prefer that than using adblock.
>>404814
4chan is globally nsfw you stupid newfag. Fuck off
Next you'll say you want
https://s.4cdn.org/image/title/62.gif
Removed from blue boards as well
>>404889
Then why is Global Rule #5 in effect?
And your link leads me to a 404 page.
>>404923
Notice how work safe is in quotation marks? It's because it's not meant fucking literally. The global rules exist for the sole purpose of giving the mods and admin the right to remove everything and anything they want. The work safe rules were never there to make the site work safe, if they were, I couldn't call you a nigger cunt faggot right now
>serve self serve advertising buggy for me
>email them
>get this
Did I just get memed on?
>I'll forward this
That's just fancy talk for saying they don't give a shit
>>404809
I don't get why. I'm GIVING them my money and they don't care?
>>404826
Giving them money is what you did. What you tried to do was pay for a service. I hope that clears things up for you.
What are some Original Posts/thread prompts that you could interchange with any board and still incite a good amount of replies?
For example
>How do I become as motivated into learning Japanese as you, /jp/?
>How do I become as motivated enough to finish my backlog as you, /v/?
Hard mode: they actually promote meaningful and contributive discussion
>>404725
>Go to /a/ and post a picture of a girl tied up in a chair and write"How can she get out of that one?"
>Enjoy your 600 reply thread on bread history and production
>>405154
Hhgsgdhdheggfcfgggggggg
>>404725
>How can I become motivated to become an ideologically pure partisan demagogue like you, /pol/?
>How can I become a chronic masturbater like you, /e/, /h, /cm/, /d/, /aco/, /s/, /hm/, etc?
