Why do so many people on /qa/ complain about boards that they clearly do not browse?
Why can't /qa/ chill out like we used to.
Isn't that what moot wanted?
>>410513
Why won't the moderators address the userbase?
Is that so difficult?
>Why do so many people on /qa/ complain about boards that they clearly do not browse?
that's what this board is for. you don't take any of these threads seriously, do you?
>>410513
I'll chill out as soon as the threads on /v that are relevant to my interests are cleared of fecal matter.
And we all know that won't be happening any time soon.
Can't we just have word filtlers for reddit, tumblr, /pol/?
every time someone metions one of this a thread gets derailed wheneter they're right or not
>>415443
>mfw /pol/ is filtered on /pol/
hello /pol/blreddit
Hello /qa/ I'm new to 4chan and needed to know a few things like what certain terms mean and how to do certain things
So here we go:
1 what are dubs?
2 what are quads/trips?
3 how do I green text?
4 what does kek mean?
5 what does roll mean?
6 what does bump mean?
7 what does it mean when someone says "tips decide..."?
8 What determines a thread going 404?
Pls /qa/help
lurk more
There are a bunch of wikis and sites that document 4chan's history and memes nowadays... and you want us to spoonfeed you. Fucking lurk more, lazy piece of shit.
they really should make a page where frequently asked questions are answered and have a link to it at the bottom of the post form.
Two questions.
1) Why do people on /tv/ keep saying kino?
2) Why do people say "witnessed" when there are dubs?
Shit, that was poorly timed.
>>414722
Kino = german for 'Cinema' or 'Movie theater'.
They say "Witnessed" like the warboys in the latest Mad Max movie, but I don't know if that is what it is from. It might be "Witnessed!" like in a Black Pentecostal Church sense.
why is this still here?
ONE JOB, HIRO.
ONE. JOB.
Because it's still January and you didn't click the dismiss button.

Where is /fic/, Hiro?
A /fic/ board itself is crucial and beneficial to 4chan culture; it'd utilize the talents of writefags from across different boards i.e., /a/, /co/, /lit/.
Don't you want to nurture and cultivate the talent of artists, Hiro?

、 /ヒロのFIC /どこにありますか?

C.uck
Sup, /q2/. Let's list changes you'd make to the site that DOESN'T include adding/removing a board.
Change Titles:
>/x/ - Horror and the Paranormal
>/m/ - Mecha and Tokusatsu
>/adv/ - Advice and Self-Improvement
Board Specific Changes:
>remove the ability to post threads on /trash/
>allow colorposting on /s4s/
>allow users to embed links to /f/Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>415175
>remove malware ads
>>415187
Which ads are malware, specifically?
>VISIBLE SAGE
>SOUND WEBMS ON EVERY BOARD
>VP9 SUPPORT
ITT: We make banners for 4chan.
https://desustorage.org/a/statistics/activity/
Apparently, /a/ existed since 1975 according to these statistics. Is there anyone from that time still browsing it?
>>415018
>>415030
>>415018
As if /a/'s smug superiority complex needed more fuel.
Is there a particular reason not to allow WebMs to use VP9? It's a waste of bandwidth to limit them all to the inferior VP8 format.
>>414690
4chan is not currently willing to devote man hours to understanding the ins and outs of VP9. Google completely owns the IP and has not made it fully open and understandable. For all we know, there's ways to hide CP in there in least significant bits and we can't have that. Sorry. You'll just have to find another way.
>>414699
>Not fully open
The encoder and decoder is literally open source, how is that not enough?
VP8 has better support and what you gain (size, quality) from switching to VP9 is negligible for small animu clips used on 4chan.
Also, it's slow af to encode.
These people are the cancer killing /vp/. Not only do they constantly fight amongst themselves over shitposting, but they're neversatisfied with just one thread at a time, so they have to make 5.

/vp/ was better before they started swarming the board with their generals
>>414549
This is now a thread about the actual problem of /vp/: lack of moderation.
Seriously, where the fuck are the mods?
>>414068
When you say "Bring back noko" do you mean "Get rid of Noko being the default behavior"?
Because as it stands, you can still type Noko into the options field.
>>414070
yes
also, bring back "sage" while you at it, moot2
As terrible as your choice in pictures is, I wholeheartedly support this idea.
Hello, I'm Noko.
Sup OP.
Is there a ranking for which boards are heavily moderated and which aren't?
For instance I know /a/ is heavily moderated, but from what I heard /m/ isn't despite being an off-shoot of /a/.
>>413821
There are unwritten rules for each board that one can only learn through lurking more.
The boards which are heavily moderated are one of these.
>>413822
I was curious because I saw a lot of threads here lately asking about more moderation, probably due to crossboarders.
