dumb frogposter
your thread sucks ass
on which board can you discuss philosophical questions such as, do you believe in free will, what is your view on utilitarianism?
as far as I know his and lit are only for discussion philosophical works or specific philosophers but in both boards a thread like the before mentioned one would be OT, or is it okay to post a thread like that there?
a /ph/ board would still be great thing, tho.
and don't tell me philosophy is a nichee interest, pretty much everyone is interested in philosophy
Fuck you, go to /his/.
I would say /his/ is too new to worry about board culture. It says it's the philosophy board, philosophy threads should go there.
Threads like you mention get posted in /x/, but please don't post them there it's one of the many things wrong with that board.
If the problem with sound in WebMs is that they are guaranteed to create screamers, why not add counter-measures specifically against this?
There could be a volume limit that checks the decoded audio for excessive clipping, and there could be a warning on thumbnails on any video with audio.
It's not like people can't post screamers on the two gif boards anyway.
Also, VP9 ever?
>>416736
I would love a thumbnail with this thing stamped onto it for sound webms, even on /wsg/ where they're common.
>>416736
Man, it's an image board. Webm uploads were made to look like standard images on purpose. And it could actually be even better integrated by removing the seeker/player bar completely.
Webm with sound only makes sense on /tv/.
>>416740
Okay. So you'd rather we removed sound from /gif/ and /wsg/. That is a valid viewpoint. Thank you for voicing your opinion.
In span of two months, from Sep 1 to Oct 30 (before the filters), the word "desu" was used 31169 times on /tv/
http://archive.4plebs.org/tv/search/text/desu/start/2015-09-01/end/2015-10-30/
In the same two months, the word "reddit" was used 25811 times, which is almost just as bad.

Mind you, the situation got only worse since then.
A few years ago calling something "reddit" actually held some meaning because people knew what it stands for and why...

No, even when the great reddit panic hit it was just another variation of u mad mixed with go back to gaia.
Gotta agree. This is a major fucking problem and another reason why we should consider getting rid of normie boards
How do we get Smash Mouth to endorse 4chan and vise-versa?
Pretty sure at this point any single person from smashmouth would do anything for half a month's rent money.
Not exactly raking in the royalties.

What boards have the best culture? What boards have the worst, or little/no culture?
"board culture" is cancer

This desu
>muh sticky on /his/ says religion and philosophy
>muh humanities
Yes, exactly. Humanities.
>Religion
/his/ is for the academic, non-biased, secular study of religion as it relates to the humanities. Appropriate threads on /his/ about religion would be "How exactly did the Protestant schism occur" or "what are the differences between these denominations" or "What does this faith practice" or something like those. But people are twisting...

Can you repeat the question?
YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME NOW
CMON MODS YOU FAGGOTS
4chan can't handle that much concentrated, legitimate autism.
If there was an /autism/ board, everyone would move there and the current boards would all die out. I usually post on /sp/; it only has about six posters and they all have autism. If they left, there would never be another /sp/ post.
b is the autism board you know
Why is /tv/ so fucking obsessed with reddit?
No other board cares that much about that shitty site but on /tv/ they mention it in every single thread.

Literally JUST: the board
Because a lot of them are actually from reddit, and think it's cool to make fun of their home.
Most of you know /co/ has been undergoing a crisis of identity for a long time now, but if you don't regularly use the board, you may not know why.
I left /co/ a little under a year ago, and came back last month. During that time the board has gotten exponentially worse than I've ever seen it. You may have seen some people complain about live-action comic book movies being on /co/, but those threads are generally well-behaved collections of people sharing ideas.
The real problem is that a subculture of people from Tumblr has sprung up there. On most boards,...

I go on /co/ a lot, what's wrong with it? I think the board's fine. Link me to some threads you think are proof of it's decline.
>>412014
It's a /co/ related show, but the first step to rescuing the board is permanently relocating all Steven Universe threads to /trash/ and having any Steven Universe posts in other threads be an automatic 7 day ban
When SU isn't airing new episodes the threads are banned from /co/ and put in /trash/ instead, and during this time period the board is 10x better. I was on /co/ the other day and saw a fuckton of SU threads so I assume new episodes are out, and board quality is down too.
Is fat shaming against the rules?
that terrible image macro should be against the rules
