We need a containment board for this crap.

"Hurr durr containment boards"
No, idiot. They need to be BANNED. The way you're behaving, you think it's okay.
>>460228
Banning would be better, yeah. I just didn't think of that, good sir.
Why can't we just delete /pol/, /int/ and /news/ so we can have a nice, happy, non political website? Everyone knows politicuck arguments ruing everything.
>>460023
Then you would have to ban /lit/, /lgbt/, /his/ and /v/
>>460026
Not really. They don't discuss current politics and /v/eddit discussing "video game journalism", whatever the fuck that is. If they do discuss politics on these boards, they'll get b&.
>>460026
Newfag or really transparent /pol/lack
/lgbt/ has nothing to do with politics. It's just generals and trap advice.
/lit/ has nothing to do with politics either. The sticky clearly warns against posting political threads, and political threads are nuked consistently.
It's becoming increasing prevalent recently for screencaps of 4chan posts to find their onto reddit, imgur, twitter, funnyjunk, even tumblr. There's a whole genre of "thread simulator" videos on YouTube now as well. I understand that this website is very well known across the internet now (which often surprises me having remembered a time when people actually meant "rules 1 & 2" when talking about raids) but consider how notorious 4chan seems to be now, the sheer volume of shared threads still surprises me. How are the people who spread 4chan...

>How are the people who spread 4chan posts around the web?
The same people who brought shit from other sites into 4chan which provided this place with content for years to begin with.
4chan was born by ripping off other sites and we extensively brought content from other sites here for discussion and fun. The place became popular as an open harbour for everything from other sites at the time without restriction and it was because of this that we were able to survive and growth....

No it's not. That peaked during Chanology. It's barely catching up. "The Fappening" wasn't even as big as Chanology, nor was Gamergate.
>>459772
I feel as though there's a difference between adopting the culture and sense of humour from and different websites and taking influence from them, straight up screencapping one website and posting it on another. It's a totally different kind of 'ripping'. I wasn't referring to someone making a banepost in YouTube comments, or someone using ">" in twitch chat or whatever; I was talking specifically about the thing copy something verbatim without adding to it or adapting it to the...

Honest question. Do people literally believe there isn't extremely high levels of actual racism and misogyny on 4chan?
People always bring up the defense "Misogyny is just a buzzword, racism is just a buzzword" in the very same threads where 90% of posts are just shitting on women and non-whites as subhumans while circlejerking over preheld beliefs and "Redpill" group narrative/superiority complex.
Even on /his/, there are numerous threads almost every day about how women and blacks apparently had it better than white males throughout...

The only people who think that are /r9k/, and their brother /pol/. Everybody else will tell you that these are real problems, and we're just fucking around/making fun of SJWs.
>>459665
anita pls go
>Taking a japanese-style message board seriously
At least you posted real art
You know, most 4chan users think /pol/ should be deleted, but I don't. I think we should let them stay, I laugh so hard when I see the shit they say. What would 4chan be without a laughingstock board?

Scurrilous lies. inb4 rigged strawpolls.

How would you like to improve the site?
Actual policy ideas that are not just
>make board
>remove board
>purge mods
It's hypothetical, none of this will ever happen of course.
Besides general transparency/accountability of the mods, I'd like to see some proper legislative work.
A seperate group of staffers updating the rules, no more of this inconsistent and liberal interpretation of static rules by the people who are enforcing them
https://www.4chan.org/feedback
I've messaged the mods several times about bugs, and even misspellings/grammar errors in the rules/FAQ and they got fixed within a day. Seriously, just fucking use the feedback form already. They DO read it. Whether or not they think your idea is worth listening to/implementing and how fast is another matter.
They wouldn't even bother having the feature if they didn't plan on using it. They'd just get rid of it and go back to the way it was before.
>>459580
4chan has too many users with too few staff members for any legislative due process to be effective or possible. If you want effective/possible legislative due process then we're gonna have to start taxing the citizens. Making 4chan passes mandatory sounds like a decent start on how to go about that.
>>459597
Well, sure, for small obviously fixable things I'll go do that.
But if I want to submit anything bigger worth listening to, I ought to gather some information and have an open discussion to improve such ideas.
Why am I getting antagonized on /sp/ for using anime reaction images?
How the fuck is this fair?
/sp/ is literally facebook
>>459482
Because there are more non-weebs than there are weebs on 4chan, and it's been that way for quite some time.
Hiro, please create a board called /hiki/ - hikikomori
Our idea was formerly named /wiz/ but is now named /hiki/ and we want this board to cater to social outcasts because /r9k/ is being overrun with shitposting.
Current proposed rules (subject to discussion and change):
1) Posters cannot reference themselves as or imply that they are women.
2) Posters cannot reference themselves as or imply that they are non-virgins.
Exceptions:
-the use of hookers for sex
-having been raped/molested
3) Do not make porn threads or post porn...

I forgot the poll. This is the same poll as the past many threads.

Posting for support.

I'm apathetic if this board gets created, so have a bump, OP.
But there really are many other much better, much more needed hypothetical boards that could be made. /celeb/ and /rel/igion, just to name two.
1. Say something bad about your home/favorite board
2. Say something nice about your least favorite board
I don't mean insult/compliment them, either. Point out something bad/good about them that aren't opinionated.
>>459109
This would have been a lot harder if you asked me to say something good about my home board
>>459109
1. It's a complete shithole filled with cancer
2. It's fucking better than it
>>459109
1. Too much stupid off-topic shit is ignored by the resident mod/janitor.
2. It keeps certain kinds of imbeciles occupied most of the time.
Do you remember?
>>458725
a n o n
t a l k

>>458725
Yes.
I also remember the havoc Cornelia wreaked along with her .js predecessors. I remember the site where anons talk, the cats hissing at penis, Tom Delay, whores licking lollipops, colorful boxes, Clockwork Orange and 10 pages worth of threads routinely disappearing in a blink.
The captcha is an unfortunate necessity, especially now that 4chan grew so huge. The only issue is Google actively trying to make it as infuriating as possible.
It's technically recaptcha, not captcha.
Should /his/ be deleted?
So far the board seems more a blend of /pol/ and /int/ than anything else. And the low post cooldown means threads get spammed with nonsense rather quickly.
Frankly /tg/ and /k/ dealt with history better in the past, and still do.
/his/ just seems to be a center for religious debate and attempting to force new memes.
Thoughts on /his/? Has it reached your expectations?
feel free to continue to use /tg/ and /k/, anon.
I enjoy it, and a whole lot of other people do too. Just because you aren't using something doesn't mean it should be deleted.
Why does everyone think that any boards will be deleted anyway, hiro has never said anything about getting rid of boards.
I say no, and I don't even post there. I hate that people think deleting boards is even a valid thing to ask for.
>>457857
>And the low post cooldown means threads get spammed with nonsense rather quickly.
But anon, you just touched on a better solution right there. Long post cooldowns are basically shitposter repellent.
Have /tv/ mods gone too far? These two are exactly the same character, does comparing them warrant a ban. Explain this Mook.
>on /o/ you can post pictures of cars
>on /k/ you can post pictures of guns
>on /v/ you can post pictures of vidya characters
>on /tv/ if you post pictures of actors you get banned
I just don't understand
>>456091
First of all you are ban evading so you likely already got banned again.
Secondly, "mook" only comes here like for an hour at a time once every 2 or 3 weeks and isn't here right now.
Third, mods don't respond on this board, so you're only going to get a bunch of weebs and /v/idiots telling you deserve to be banned.
Try the feedback page, leave your email and they might explain it to you if they feel like it. Other than that there is about a 1% chance they would listen to...

I'm not banned from all boards. Just TV mate
He keeps on mass breaking Rule 11 by advertising his "manga" series in every single thread on /pol/, not to mention he's an arrogant asshole who shits on everyone on /pol/.
It's high time this faggot got a banhammer to the face.
>>454384
He's got a friend in the janny team
Not only is this dude spamming for money for his shitty comics, 99% of people on /pol/ despise it. It's not politically related at all and is almost always off topic. It's one Malaysian autist bumping the thread and advertising his shitty art all day every day and calling everyone and anyone a nigger
So hide, report and don't reply for starters?
Requesting /leftypol/ in 4chan
dude take a break, its a slow board, if you wanna shitpost with a high frequency you should go to /ck/ ill guarentee you that youll have more fun there, they take every bait
requesting /reddit/ in 4chan

For the past few month, there's been a transgender trip on /fit/ by the name of trappy-chan !!VHnwMVjcWZi.
This trip violates a number of global rules, including avatarfagging, and regularly posting un-fitness related topics.
This trip skirts the rules by creating "routine general" threads, in which it copypastes generic information and routines, all while sneaking in sexual posts and rampant avatarfagging.
In the next few posts I'll give a few images of the "quality content" this trip has posted.
Giving generic, on topic...

Fitness related
Also fitness related (how trappy circumvents NSFW rules, posts imgur links to lewd pictures)
This doesn't seem very relevant to the board in question.
Routine threads have been a long time stapple of the board and now it is difficult to get opinions as he seems to have gotten most of the old users to leave.
