Thus mods should use shadow bans instead. Let the shitposters shitpost and think they're not banned and writh around when no one replies to their shitpost
To be able to shadowban the site would need to have account registration. Which I honestly think would not be a bad idea if your posts were still anonymous (with tripcodes as an option). Only the mods would be able to see your account name.
This would also add more gravity to a ban so shadowbanning would actually become less necessary.

Shit, that's a site I haven't heard about in a long time. I actually bought a Total Fark subscription. They then shadow banned my ass but didn't inform me. I didn't notice for a while and was basically paying cash money dollars to be banned. Fucking pissed me off.

Now, as much as I would like a SFW off-topic board, I know that would only make /b/ worse. /b/ is having a really, really hard time with porn and other mostly undesirable content. A worksafe off-topic board would remove what little value /b/ still has.
Then again, I can't really think of a way to "fix" /b/. Threads for made just for porn could be deleted but general nudity and sex could be allowed minimally? But that would be stupid. Thread specific rules and a rule of no "porn dumps"...

Is there anyone else whose ads are only for j-list? I appreciate they pay for placement but I don't like having NSFW ads on SFW boards like /vr/. Can I change some settings or something to change them?

Also, the dev really should make a simple script to check if someone clicked on a 4chan link outside 4chan, then redirect the browser to another site because shit like this is why we have so many unwanted users.
