Why isn't kpop-posting a bannable offense?
It should only be bannable as off topic on /mu/. If it was moved to /s/ or /trash/, there would be no issue.

Help me understand this: when I open 4chan content (images, webm) in a new tab, and choose to save, it saves the content as something like 1386915075248.jpg, as opposed to the orginal file name. I've been saving images and stuff from 4chan over the years, but all the images are saved under that terribly boring and useless file name system. Is there a workaround here - a way to save the content with it's original file name intact? I'm going to make it extra difficult for you and say I don't want to use any special mechanisms to save the image - I want to open...

>terribly boring and useless file name system
It's a unix timestamp, silly, it is far from boring and useless.
Those filenames are unix timecodes. They include miliseconds.
>1386915075 (last three digits removed)
Let me translate for you:

Also, right nowish the unix time is:

Can a mod/janitor please clean the ninty general?
Posts reported days ago still there, most from one single retard.
Fucking ban him already.
Your bias towards certain generals is just ridiculous.
What's ninty and what's wrong with it

Oh, my sweet summer child.
He has barneyfag levels of dedication.
Nothing will get rid of him short of Nintendo going out of business.
What is this?

It's a free trial of ESET NOD32, a all-but-worthless bloated piece of shit antivirus program that takes way too many system resources for what it's actually doing.
4chan isn't what you think it is. Many of us hide executable code inside of images that you will save, that way we can hack you 2bh family. Your antivirus is warning you that this place is not safe. Why do you think Linux is so popular here?
it looks like you have some malware called "Google Chrome" installed on your computer. you should find some way to get rid of it.
Post your top ten boards, and r8 &h8 others. Pic related is my top ten. Fight me.

I feel like Hiro hasn't been around at all recently.
What's up?
>>472066
He was around this week. You missed it.
>>472145
He did the q&a on hispachan, but I don't think I saw him at all on 4chan for weeks.
I am doing good very thanks
4chan should include a new feature similar to the spoiler option. It work exactly the same way except the icon would be different obviously and it was tell you that there is something NSFW behind it if you choose to click it.
This would allow NSFW content to be placed on SFW boards without the board itself actually becoming NSFW.
No. That would make NSFW boards pointless and SFW boards would be filled with porn dump threads.
>>471792
first post best post
Blue boards exist to get away from NSFW content.
>>471792
NSFW content would still have to be regulated on blue boards.
Why don't mods and janitors come down harder on obvious shitposting and bait threads? Are the janitors that are hired even evaluated at all to discuss how much they know about their homeboard and what is and isn't shitposting?
Seriously people start threads with rhetorical arguments and loaded statements such as the absolutely cringeworthy "worst girl" threads and "What is the best X Y and why is it Z?" Threads.
Discussion isn't even a thing in those threads. I would even go as far to say that threads like that put us on the same...

>I've used this site for over 10 years now
>still goes on /v/ and gets upset at shit-tier troll threads
>>471600
I don't think I would describe myself as upset as much as I just feel let down by the people who should be moderating the forums. I feel like no actual discussion gets done because these troll threads are allowed to be posted with impunity.
I'm of the opinion that the only reason we even have sub-boards like /vr/ and /vg/ is because the janitors can't or won't do their job properly for some reason.
why are there no korean or china generals on /int/?
are there even chans for those countries?
inb4 hiro buys them too on his mission to create a megachan
China not allowed to post without pass, I think. There aren't enough Koreans for their own general, and not enough foreigners are interested in the language/culture, like the jap sled.
the korean generals are on /mu/
why doesnt hiro allow them to post now?
This is what really needs to happen on April 1st. Just for a day this time.

Let's have Captcha-less posting on the whole site.
It's getting to the point that bot spam would be less annoying than these fucking captchas.

>why are the mods on /tv/ and /pol/ completely different?
Because they're different people. /pol/s mods know how to leave shit alone. /tv/s mods are perpetually analpained Reddit users that think they know what's best for everyone and ban people for saying anything negative about Reddit.
>>469564
Isn't /tv/ a blue board?
Also, calling people Reddit and Baneposting are low quality posts anyways, so of course they're deleted.
What is the average age of each board?
What board is the youngest?
What about the oldest?
>>472848
>What is the average age of each board?
Probably 19-20 overall
>What board is the youngest?
/pol/ and /v/ and /b/ are all notoriously underaged; if not a majority, then at least a plurality. it's also a very obvious explanation for their speed, poor posting quality, and eagerness to feel offended.
>What about the oldest?
Slow normie-hobby boards like /o/ and /trv/ are full of people well into their twenties
>>472851
I remember reading a post that said that /fit/ once conducted a survey on each board years ago, and the results were that /jp/ was the oldest board, and /v/ rigged the voting.
I don't know how true that was, but it sounds plausible.
Why hasn't /qa/ conducted an age survey on each board yet?
>>472851
There was literally just a thread up about people over 30 on /pol/. One 61 y/o anon even chimed in.
what did he mean by this?
/news/ probably isn't very active
You'd be surprised how many people don't know.
Yuri is defined in the global rules as being of Japanese origin, yet content such as live-action, cartoons, and other non-Japanese comics are not deleted on /u/. The board's rules should either be updated to confirm that western/3D threads and images are allowed or should be enforced as is.
>>472158
Only after you and your shitty mod stay away from /a/.
>>472172
If you care so much about yuri being discussed on /a/, then you should get rid of all the western content on /u/ first. Then /u/ might actually be a usable board instead of what is it now.
>>472198
No, you see I have no problem with yuri discussion. The problem is those /u/tards who try to turn non-yuri shows into yurishit with their faggot goggles and those /u/tards who use stupid shit like 'hetshit'.
