WHY can't we just have a /t/ for non-porn torrents?
We need a containment board for all the pornfags.
>>480929
This, /t/ for porn is unnecessary
They can request it in /r/
So, you want /wst/ - Work Safe Torrents? The board is pretty slow already. I'm afraid that without porn it would be completely dead.
Nonetheless, I would love to see more non-porn torrents.
I think changing bump limit from ~300 to ~500 could be nice instead.
>>480941
it doesn't have to be fast, but I want a place for interesting torrents, and the current board is just full of fucking porn
>4chan should be a serious site for serious discussion and any sort of creativity or fun posting should be shitposted if not outright banned
When did this happen? I see this sentiment echoed more and more with each passing day. It's not that I think we should be a free for all - I'm glad illegal content has mostly been eradicated but I don't understand the frame of mind of a person that thinks "hey, I want a super serious, logical, and civil discussion - what website should I go to? Oh, 4chan of course!" I mean, it's...

>when did this happen
Site wide? 2012 during the great mod crackdown. It even happened on boards where the users were fine with funposting - like /sp/.
I personally just ignore threads I don't like but it is annoying when you make a legit thread and some fucker derails it with generic shit.
>>480840
Hello there friend. I see you have a complaint about 4Chan. While 4Chan is a large social image board, we simply cannot cater to the individual tastes of every single user of the site. If this upsets you, please get up from your computer, take a deep breath, and go for a walk. Maybe that will clear your head.
Thank you for visiting 4Chan!

Shitposting isn't funny or enjoyable anymore to anybody except the person doing the shitposting. On most boards it's all the same shit, you already know which threads are going to be made, you already know what all the replies to those threads are going to be. It's fucking boring. You try to voice a complaint about it, you get called "reddit" by someone who probably wasn't even born until after Reddit was founded.
Maybe 4chan doesn't need to be a serious site for serious discussion,...

Either start banning people for doing this stupid shit or make it so you can only reply to 5 posts at a time please
worst form of spamming possible

So mods on /v/ are mass censoring and swiftly deleting threads about Overwatch and it's recent Censorship controversy.
This is outright disgusting. The thread is about recent video game news and is video game related. Why are they being swifty removed and pruned without warning?
Threads in question:
https://boards.fireden.net/v/thread/332345014/
https://boards.fireden.net/v/thread/332344157/
https://boards.fireden.net/v/thread/332339821/
Because it's the same fucking post and the same fucking picture every time. Stop spamming you fuckwit.

Mootwo, if you didn't get the memo, this faggotry is why people move to other chans.
Tell your faglord mods to do their fucking job properly.
does hiro have a contact email like moot did?
yo is it just me or is 4chan boring as fuck now?
/a/ is excellent when they have good threads, i don't like the sad panda, umaru, and /c/ + /e/ spam though, but it's alright
/g/ is pretty good, the /pol/ faggots are annoying but it's a good board, i don't mind the generals, and i LOVE /ptg/, great comfy general
/v/ is usually shit, same threads every fucking day (pass the controller bro, etc.) though /v/ is alright when people actually talk about games, board culture is nice too
/co/ is shit, most of the threads are just comic...

>threads about sex get 100 replies in a few minute
Threads relating to sex get tons of replies on literally every board. This entire website is like an anthill of thirsty teenagers.
When sexual things are brought up they often ruin entire threads.
>someone posted some sexy girl because he's feeling a little horny or wants easy replies?
>better destroy the thread to talk about jerking off and how much I want to have sex!
4chan...

The reason /a/, /mu/, /v/ and /tv/ manage to stay good is because they have a constant stream of new media to discuss. There's always new anime, new music, new vidya, new television to talk about, which is the livelihood of the boards.
Some other boards focus almost exclusively on old content and give little or no attention to new material. /co/ and /lit/ are guilty of this. And this is harmful to the health of the boards because you can only talk about Gravity's Rainbow so many times before it starts to feel tired and dull. Imagine what /a/ would be like if...

It's not just you, but it is all in your head. 4chan didn't change, you did. But so did lots of other people.
I've seen people complaining about 4chan being boring now for ten years straight.
Most effective way of painless suicide?
Realize that death is the end of your functionality as a "recording device." The pain you will have felt is a memory. When you die, there is no memory. There is no "you" to "remember" the pain.
A gas stove is all you really need.

Spend the past 13 years on 4chan. If you did this you should be all but dead inside by now.

Does anyone else like ironic shitposting?
It's a form of art, I'm sure of it.
I like it. People on /qa/ are just retards who want to completely change this site in a no fun allowed place.

Everybody on this cancerous board is apparently pushing for more moderation while it's already overzealous. Just look at 4chan.org/bans. 90% of those make no sense.

anything.

More or less anything that isn't inline with the general or pseudo-general thread hivemind.
Homeboard is /a/. Doesn't help when a good quarter of the posts on the board are obvious and lazy flamebait that may as well have been posted on /b/. The problem is that the autists will derail a thread for hundreds of posts arguing over an obviously facetious shitpost.

4chan is hypocrisy incarnate. Every board does it.

Are you really dumb enough to think it's the same people making those posts? We of /a/ don't want those threads either.

"This man is so much weaker than me. I will own this site someday."
Explain yourselves
One thing that's wrong about that is that trolling has never been group based. It has ALWAYS been something done for personal satisfaction. But it's mostly accurate.
I don't understand why people purposely respond to trolls now. It's like everyone suddenly became very stupid.
>>477716
2007 and 2010 saw a huge influx of American youth. They are both extremely stupid and extremely egocentric which naturally leads to a posting culture of cheap and easy flaming for instant attention. People respond to it because they treat threads like a stage with an audience, not an anonymous fleeting space for honest discussion. It has gotten so bad that I am overly hesitant to make lengthy posts or really open up for discussion because the more of your mind and thought you post, the more vulnerable it becomes for...

There is one downside to this approach:
If I make a thread about a topic covered by a general, the only reply I will get will be "go to the fucking general."
>Error: You cannot delete this post.
>>476539
I know you can't delete a post for at least a minute but:
1. Why? I mean, what's it matter if you delete it 10 seconds after you post it as opposed to waiting 60?
2. What's the maximum amount of time after a post that you delete it?
>>476546
30 minutes I believe.
