Then you missed out on Generations, which was actually critically acclaimed. Unfortunately Sega doesn't seem to content to stick with what people like and insists on always trying something new, which is why the quality of the games is so inconsistent. Personally I think people exaggerate the hate for most of them anyway, but what the fuck are you gonna do? At least Sega doesn't seem to give a fuck.

/x/ is one of the most normalfag-friendly boards. in the real world, things like ghosts and aliens are actually seen as more socially acceptable to discuss than chinese cartoons, so it attracts people outside of the crowd that would ordinarily be drawn to 4chan. there's very little of the memeing and "board culture" that other boards use to alienate newcomers. also there's a really cancerous spanish-language youtuber who keeps mentioning the board and sending clueless mexicans our way, so there's that

So I was reading somewhere that games usually take up 1 to 2 cores on your computer and the rest is GPU heavy. So theoretically, if I have a quad core cpu with 2.2ghz and a duo core with 3ghz would I be better off with the duo core? I've been researching it but I'm getting mixed results on google.
How slow is this board anyways? I've never actually used the question board.

Generally, above 4 cores is overkill for most games.
Some titles can use up to 8, but they're few and far between.
As for your question, if both CPUs are built on the exact same architecture, the dual core will win in tasks that use no more than 1 or 2 threads.
The quadcore would allow you to run more things in the background without slowdown.
