I've been trying to un-cuck myself from the toxins and estrogenic compounds in the American diet for some time now (coupled with exercise) while maintaining a vegetarian diet. My background is in Electrical Engineering and Math, and studying those disciplines has made me pretty inept at grasping/relating to biological concepts!
I'm currently doing a bulk, going from Auschwitz mode (130 at 5'9") to a fairly decent weight for my height (170) while working out, and you're right, that as a result of vegetarianism I've gained a lot more body fat than my workout buddy who eats a lot of lean meats (but who also has a taller frame, which is how I've been justifying it). I've interestingly outperformed him in strength gains, but this is probably due to manlet gains (in /fit/ parlance lol).
Out of curiosity, are you self-taught in this science? Just wondering if it would make sense for me to do a Khan Academy course in some basic concepts before delving into this, or whether reading enough of those articles would be enough.

The last real exposure to Bio I had was in HS, where one of the things that stuck out in my mind was how much Lamarckian evolution was derided by my teacher. But there always seemed to be some merit to the idea. Only problem was that it didn't have a fancy name for it yet haha.
My father had a vegetarian diet prior to my birth, and I definitely have experienced the effects of hormonal problems (though arguably this has helped me progressed on the spiritual path by avoiding the extroverted pitfalls of Chad-life). Not looking to get into kids, as I aspire to be an ascetic/monk (not for MGTOW reasons, but for unrelated spiritual ambitions).

Yeah this will be a hard pill for me to swallow, but I appreciate the suggestion. I've ended up ascribing a lot of philosophical, and moral value to vegetarianism (which also had a following among some ancient western intellectuals), but the more I read about all the stuff in meat (creatine is the one that comes to mind most readily), I do understand the value of meat and don't think less of anyone who does use meat products for their nutritive value.

I am very sympathetic to this idea.
