Stone is, of course, a long time associate of Manafort, an advisor in Trump's campaign, and the book was published last October. The mention of Trump was really out of nowhere, and made me think he only distanced Trump from the Epstein's private circle, because Trump is going to use this to dirt Hillary in the GE, and it was all a calculated political move. We all know how Trump is a calculating beast, because he trademarked the "Make America Great Again" slogan in 2012, so I wouldn't put this move past him.
