Let’ set the facts straight:
1. Slovak-Hungarian border. Passport-free Schengen zone is suspended - by law.
2. The border is guarded by armed officers, posted to stop unauthorized crossings.
3. Checking of documents.
4. A car full of people breaks through the border and flees at high speed.
5. National security breach. Possibly armed criminal invaders, gangsters, drugs and weapons smugglers, terrorists.
6. Incursion of the Slovak territory, using the car as a lethal weapon against the officers.
7. High emergency situation. The officers fire warning shots.
8. The car does not stop and speeds away.
9. The officers, in high speed pursuit, attempt to shoot off the tires of the speeding car, as per their mandate to protect the border.
10. Incidentally, one of the car criminal occupants is hit by a bullet.
Well done Slovaks!
Next step: shackle the criminals and return them, as per legal EU agreement, to Turkey.
Quite appropriately the Indy posted a photo, to remind us of the invaders breaking the border in Roszke (Sep.2015). Now, they are breaking through using cars. What’s next?
