People are selfish.
At russian imageboards, for example, there are almost no big movements. Whenever someone try to cooperate for some fun and profit, others start to oppose and disrupt the effort to be da trollz. At russian /b/ it's not a good idea to support someone directly, because you will be immediately labeled as samefag. Russian /pol/ totally occupied by paid shills from both sides (pro-gov/opposition), unable to cooperate in getting em out.
Everyone here seem to be hardwired on doublethink-morale: altruistic and christian when it's ok for you, but when it benefits you to state that you may skip the line, saying "I just need to ask" - do it without hesitation.
