The collapse of national borders and embrace of free trade and free travel mean that:
A) manufacturing and labor jobs go to where they're cheapest, which is always third world shitholes. This harms our working and middle class through less jobs and heavy economic reliance on foreign labor, while benefiting the elites through greater profits.
B) It leads to the death of national identity and national pride, as large corporations (and the governments they buy) force multiculturalism on us, as this is the only way they can access cheap labor without imperialism and conquest.
Globalisation is great for big business, the ruling elites and the third world. It's terrible for small businesses, national identity and local jobs.

Its not bad as utopic idea and in future perspective, but as Futurists say: before building New World, old has to be destroyed - and thats the case with Globalism. It erodes the current establishment, culture,countries souvereignity, economic security and independence.
I would be happy with Star Trek like United Earth, where theres no more countries, people work together for greater goals, no conflicts and borders. However its a future illusion. Current reality is that you lose your independence and become slave to the most powerful global players.
