Honestly I can't find a fault with it. That guy realised he could use local materials and tools to make a cheap, practical vehicle for people in an are where motorisation is completely out of the question and seized the opportunity with both hands. And unlike all of these home-made helicopters or what have you (which are still very impressive) this guy's wooden scooter has had a massive positive impact on the local community.
He certainly deserves praise.
