No, my argument is that we need someone who will put America first on the international level while simultaneously shrinking the government domestically.
Nationalistic foreign policies, enough of a pro-America stance on foreign trade to allow America to become a manufacturing powerhouse again, and enough border control to stop illegal immigration is what we should aim for.
We also need to aim for a smaller welfare state, the removal of the NSA, an expansion of free-trade domestically, a removal of US forces from abroad, etc.
Allowing open borders while having a decent sized welfare state and letting poor immigrants in from everywhere will just cause the welfare state to bloat up and eventually collapse in on itself, killing the United States (at least, killing it economically).
