What should be done about the 1%? Like 70 people own 99% of the wealth, living like kings and queens on earth, influencing events, socially engineering the world through propaganda. Is not curbing their greed through redistribution socialism and against the freedom of capitalism? After all, these people were smart and worked hard. At the same time it is incredibly destructive to the world economy and the common man. I feel this is an issue the left and right feel needs to be solved. What should be done?

I would say trades are a great way at the moment to improve your lot in life in fact. However, that is, except in extreme cases/crass nepotism, you will never reach A range through that, or hell even B.
But the point here is, most people are not looking toward the trades at the moment, they are drawn in instead by the lofty ideals of college and university.
They then get slapped with large debts, in effect becoming the next class of debt slaves to the system that they cannot default on.
