I'm not saying "don't work". The problem with our society is that working twice as hard as someone else will get you... Maybe 1.1x as much. If you're *lucky*. Sometimes you might even get punished for it. Some of the richest, most "successful" and powerful people on this planet have done effectively nothing to earn that. Not much different to an ordinary man or woman, at least.
Don't get me wrong, hard work is useful, but it's not the paramount factor to success. A lot of the time it's a necessary component or at least improves your chances, but it's not *the* component. On its own, it is barely more than worthless.
